Aparthotel Castelnou

We had a lovely stay in Gent at the CASTLENOU apartment/hoIel.I would suggest having complimentary coffee snd tea available for guests. There are both in the rooms, however a limited selection. Breakfast had an extensive selection of a variety of breakfast foods for fifferent cultures. We had a suite which was roomy.

Clean, modern bright hotel Very well equipped, great location. Female receptionist upon arrival and departure was efficient and friendly, in a business like way. The breakfast staff member was also pleasant. On Saturday afternoon upon returning to the hotel after being out all day, I had popped down to the restaurant to request some milk for the tea and coffee in our room... The woman in the restaurant was quite rude and barked at me that she'd have to charge me for milk.. I hadn't realised there were sachets containing dried milk in the room as the sachets looked like sugar. Once this had been established I was happy to use these. That small encounter soured the experience of customer service. The staff member making me feel like I was requesting something for free that I wasn't entitled to! Not very hospitable service on that front!

The room and hotel itself were spotless and spacious and the location was good. The lady on the welcoming desk was lovely and very helpful. The carpark was easy and accessible. Unfortunately...the breakfast let it down as there wasn't much and the rolls were stale. Apart from that...we were very happy with our stay.

Really good experience, the rooms are big, very clean and quite new. Living room space separated from the bedroom, very surprised! Great front desk experience as well. Great breakfast

Room clean but looking a bit tired. More hangers for clothes and an extra pillow both would be good. Welcome pack was appreciated.Ideal location and breakfast was good. Staff were friendly and helpful. The angle of shower in bath is as a bit precarious if standing for shower.but overall we would recommend as great place had a great short break in a beautiful city.

Staff were friendly and welcoming on arrival. Great location easy walk into the centre approx 15 mins. Clean well equipped room. Good breakfast

Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Room was clean but a little dated. Location is a bit out of the centre, but only a nice 15 minute walk away (or plenty of bus options from outside the hotel)

The room was very well appointed, spacious and comfortable. The fantastic lady on the front desk was also incredibly generous with her time and helpful in her recommendations. Bravo team Castelnou!

Lovely room, reception v friendly

Such a warm welcome, great to have the parking once worked out where to go, though at a price. Apartment great, spacious & spotlessly clean, well equipped if staying for longer. On 4th floor so very quiet - woken up first night by another guest hammering on his door but this was not fault of hotel! Chose this as had elevator which was perfect for my elderly parents & though a little out of town, could walk to tram stop or get an Uber if don’t wish/unable to walk the 20 mins or so

Ten minutes from Dampoort train station. Well appointed kitchen. Good breakfast included.
