We really enjoyed our visit, liked the hotel which had a cosy friendly atmosphere. Clare was particularly helpful when our television would not work, she made two visits to our room to resolve the matter to our satisfaction. Clare was also very chatty and friendly when we had other queries, a valuable asset to the hotel.

This is a relatively new hotel , we have stayed twice now it’s clean and tidy has a small menu mostly pizza right next to the station and handy for the bus to Royal Papworth Hospital and Addenbrooks on the science park. There is a new Cambridge South station open which is only 3 mins on the train from the main Cambridge station this also serves the science park and from there a 2 mins walk to Papworth

This Ibis is excellent value and I’ve stayed a number of times over the last 4 years. My only concern this time is the breakfast. The breakfast food is excellent, well cooked and a great range of foods. However the staff couldn’t keep up with demand. Between 8-9am food ran out. At times There was no milk, bread, pastries, cutlery and even space to sit and eat. Perhaps additional staff should be added between These hours to help replenish stocks. The same applies to reception. Frequently only one person was left to deal with checking out and checking in guests. This could be better managed. Other than the above minor problems it’s a good place to stay.

Room was clean and functional. Air con very welcome. Check in and out quick and staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast was nice, lots of variety. My only complaint is that on the second morning (20/07) it was very busy and it took a long time for tables to be cleaned so not many places to sit.

Loved the location of this hotel, just a couple of minutes walk from the station so ideal if arriving by train, as we were. Plenty of good cafes, pubs and mini supermarkets close by. Staff were friendly and helpful, couldn't fault them. Cafe on the ground floor was also a bonus, food and drinks fab. Will definitely stay here again.

Room 474 has some issues, bathroom walls have not been cleaned as you could see. Light switches very loose, which could be very dangerous. All rooms need a complete revamp. Worse hotel I've stayed in for a long time, and at £200 was no where near value for money. Breakfast was terrible, and very haphazard.

Terrible service; terrible Hotel and terrible cancellation policy. My Partner’s Mother passed away on the day of check in and despite leaving on the same day, despite Expedia’s best efforts; your greedy Hotel chain has chose profit over consideration for the personal issues of your guests - awful, selfish and unethical practices that should not be tolerated by anyone.

This particular Ibis was great and I would 100% stay there again. Each of the front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The room itself was pretty basic but also more than enough and had everything you would expect/need. I appreciated that the room has decent floor space. Heads up that there is a step to enter the bathroom.

Near station, quiet and clean. I like having table and kettle for tea I got lost so maybe it will be helpful to have each floor a different color. Need to be careful as the paint in the room is coming off near the window

Room 554 is a spacious twin room with a pleasant view across the train station forecourt. An excellent budget hotel with great facilities. Nice staff. Room has everything you need including charging cubes for plugs and USB. Excellent location by the railway stations with taxis right outside. 24 hour bar service, sandwiches and snacks available in the cafe and pizzas available until 3am, great air con. The bathroom pods are not my favourite thing but the hotel is such good value it's not enougg to put me off.
