Shame we had noisy neighbours up stairs room all we herd was stomping around the room all hrs night and early hrs

Great location for sightseeing/shopping.All within a 15-20 min walk or 5 minutes by car. Very basic welcome on reception.If a welcome at all!Departure was just the same.A simple “I hope you enjoyed your stay “ would have been appreciated but all the young man said was thanks when handing back the room cards. The room was clean and compact.Space is an issue particularly in the shower/toilet.The toilet itself is at an awkward angle in the corner which I imagine would not be easy to use especially if you are of a larger build.The port hole window in the shower room amused me as it looks like a washing machine door and opens like one. Bed was comfy with extra pillow provided if needed. We had booked in for 2 nights and dined at the restaurant the 2nd night and can not fault the food we ordered.It was delicious and fairly priced. Overall the stay was okay.Would I stay again,most probably yes.Would I recommend,yes I would with the emphasis on the very tight tiny toilet.:)

stayed here lots of times always 5 star review, however this time was disappointed reduced food menu but then hadnt got some of it and at times felt the staff thought customers were an inconvenience

Internet was OK, only issue was noise from outside which wasn't the fault of the hotel. Small room but functional

Room was ridiculously small, Lack of staff, left waiting for ages for service at the bar. When booking I was under the impression that I had booked for bed & breakfast but was told that it was room only. Also breakfast was poorly managed. Hot food was not being regularly topped up leading to items being missing when trying to get service. Also parking is charged as an additional sum of £12 per day, payable on arrival but if you go out, you have no guarantee that you have a parking spot on your return.

Very small twin room. Nothing like the photos online. Room very dated and needs maintenance. To top it off, they charged me twice then struggled to get refund.

Staff were great, room was comfortable enough Ensuite a bit small and shower rose wouldn't stay up Would book again for a short stay

Hi,the staff were polite and friendly.Our room was serviced without a "please top me up"sign on the door,as I had left some confidential papers out .The sink did not drain properly so we cleaned our teeth in the shower.Not enough towels in the room, although I did ask for more at reception.The window in the bathroom did not close properly.The cooked breakfast was not ready when we attended a later breakfast,a few other people found the same thing.Still we enjoyed our stay,as the location is good and the rooms are warm and cozy.We were kept awake until 3am Friday night from night club opposite hotel.

Location is convenient. Staff is pleasant and accommodating. Bathroom too small

great location, my son is in uni halls greetham street, Portsmnouth can be tricky to park, and is in walking distance for the shops, there is onsite parking, only 2 small disabled bays, but managed to park both nights

I stayed in a double room with a double bed (SweetRoom), single occupancy. The room was nice, clean and had everything I needed. I will say though that the space was very tight, including the bathroom with toilet and shower. It was alright for one person. Staff at reception were friendly. The bar area looked nice but the restaurant was closed as there were no cooks. That wasn't an issue, as the location is great and within easy walking distance to several eateries. The walk to the Historic Dockyard isn't particularly nice (along a busy road), but it only takes about 15 minutes.
