I stayed recently in a Superior Double Room and can easily say this was one of the nicest rooms I have stayed in before! It was absolutely amazing. The decor very tasteful and the amount of space was incredible! I usually never sleep particularly well on my first night anywhere, but I had no trouble whatsoever! The bed was incredibly comfortable! The bathroom was enourmous too, with the highest shower head I'd ever encountered. Certainly makes for a really great shower!! As for the rest of the hotel, the staff were all so helpful and always on hand to help/assist with anything. The breakfast was delicious as well with a well stocked buffet. All in all, a great stay and was much needed!

Very nice place in a great location near lake Windermere Room was clean and good size and comfy bed too Bathroom was very small and no room to unpack No real wardrobe either so longer stay would have been an issue I thought it was expensive for what we had. Communal areas are gorgeous but not one dustbin visible!! Parking was expensive at £12 per day Great Asian fusion restaurant was really tasty Towels were a bit hard tbh and pillows were a nightmare for me

Lovely hotel in a lovely location however the room we stayed in seemed like it hadn’t been used for a while, cobwebs in the bathroom and the balcony where the hot tub sat needed a very good clean with spiders nests in the ceiling. On arrival the hot tub wasn’t working properly however they arranged for maintenance to come quickly to sort. Overall a nice stay but could do with utilising clever storage and having a fridge in the room would feel like a benefit. Beautiful breakfast but not 100% sure that it feels 5*. Muzumi was a beautiful restaurant with gorgeous food and would highly recommend and also had an afternoon tea which seemed like a mix up on arranging so unfortunately was half an hour wait for that but was good on arrival. All staff were friendly but would give thanks to the maintenance gentleman as he was very conscientious.

Upon arriving at the property, we went straight to the ladies as we had been travelling for a few hours. We then went to reception to check in where a lady was sat down behind the desk and a lady standing who then says “you ok” Not hello can I help, or welcome to the lakes hotel and spa what can I help you with…. We were instantly taking back by her abrupt manor, really dress the tone of the stay before it had even began, the lady sitting then took over when I said I would like to check in please. This stay was booked for a special birthday gift and was certainly not cheap. This was certainly not the greeting I was expecting.

Amazing hotel. Lovey spacious room with added bonus of a free upgrade which included private hot tub on the balcony. We love the spa and have visited it previously. Staff very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good plenty of choice. Topped off a great trip to the lakes, we will be back

Lovely hotel and spa, staff were all fantastic, food was amazing, but there is no Aircon anywhere on site! Bedroom hit 30c with only a small desk fan provided, and the spa changing rooms were even worse. Impossible to shower clean or get dressed when you're dripping with sweat the moment you walk in the door. I'd recommend avoiding summer months, stick to winter when heat won't be an issue. Would also help to avoid the tourists in Bowness/Windermere.
