We love this hotel as a family of five with children who need to be in our room still. The basement rooms are well maintained with bunk beds and an extra single bed along with a very large bed for the adults. Bathroom was small and slightly awkward but shower was hot and there were plenty of towels and aircon was an added bonus. Parking costs £15 a night. It's also dog friendly and a few moments from Durley Chine beach which allows dogs all year, and is the nicest beach. It is also an easy walk to restaurants in town. For a budget seaside break I would definitely recommend.

Car park is a little small and we had trouble getting out of the carpark when we left as there was cars double parked in bothsides of the road and over hanging over the exit but this wasn't the hotels fault, We had room 222 which had a double bed, bunk bed, Aircon and a ensuite bathroom with a bath/shower combination. Bath appears to have some sort of damage to the enamel near the plug hole but it didn't affect my shower that I had? Beds and bed sheets were clean and beds were very comfortable, Breakfast was great, I liked that we could go for 2nds and that we could choose what we wanted. There was freshly baked breads and fruit and yoghurt, cooked breakfast and cereals, lots to choose from! Hotel is situated near the seaside and is on the quieter side, it has many, many steps to go down (117) and is very steep and I would imagine someone who suffers with heights would think this is an issue. About 600yards Futher down the beach (near the pier) there is a lift that can take you down. But we never tried this so I'm not sure if there is a price to go down and up? It was quite a interesting lift it ran on rails like a train track and looked almost like a really small house

room was very good as it was my birtdhayy the lady on reception was very polite but at night i ask one of the member of reception team can you do some birthday arrangement for me as i was celebrating alone but he denied so i didnt expected that

The room was perfect for what we needed. The staff were friendly, polite and very helpful. The hotel itself is a little tired, but clean and well presented. The location is AMAZING with a short walk to a lifeguard maintained beach. Very happy with our stay

Very nice place to stay! Close to the town centre (10 mins walk), friendly staff and clean spacious rooms. They have a luggage room as well for anyone wishing to store their luggage before/after check-in/checkout-out.

it was fine. nothing massively special but I didnt expect that either. The room was decent and had aircon. reception staff were kind. I dont like that I had to provide my driving licence on check-in. I don't usually at hotels but it was lucky I had it with me as I dont usually.

Have had a lovely short break staying at hotel Staff were excellent and very helpful. Food both breakfast and evening meal was hot and even happy to cook us some poached eggs for breakfast which was appreciated. Bedroom was clean and tidy and enjoyed the air con in room. Hotel is tired and dated and could do with a refurb but happy to stay again which will do very soon. Thank you to all the hotel staff for making our stay enjoyable

Great location, very nice and helpful staff. The hotel is a bit outdated but it was great for our stay as a family of 4 for a short break. I would use it again. The common areas might benefit from a deep clean but the room was clean. Breakfast was quite basic but fresh. I would add non-diary milk options.

I wish I had read more detailed reviews before booking this hotel. In my opinion, it is a very simple hotel and does not justify the price. The only positive point is the beach access, with stairs leading directly to the beach. The hotel has a swimming pool and sauna, but the pool did not appear to be cleaned daily. There was visible hair and dirt floating on the surface. I got in, noticed it, and left immediately. The rooms are disappointing for a four-star hotel. There is no minibar or safe, and the room is very small, especially the bathroom. The shower area is tiny, the water takes a long time to get warm, and our shower door was broken, causing water to spread across the bathroom floor. Cleanliness was also an issue. There were visible spider webs on the ceiling and on the lamps above the bed. Breakfast is very basic and not worth the £16 per person. The options were limited to bread, cereals, eggs, and sausages, with very little variety. The biggest problem was parking. The hotel does not offer free parking, and the paid spaces are very limited. We spent around 40 minutes looking for a place to park and eventually had to leave the car elsewhere and walk about 12 minutes carrying heavy luggage and beach equipment. Overall, I would not stay here again and do not think the hotel offers value for the price charged.
