Majestic Hotel Eastbourne by Belvilla

Room was nice and tidy. excellent beach view only there was no colling system . at night it was feeling hot rest of them was excellent well maintain property

Very helpful staff. Basic but clean. Good value for the dates when I stayed.

The best thing about the hotel is that it is in front of the beach. It’s an old building and I guess you get what you’ve paid for. Curtains had cobwebs and shower floor had a massive crack across. The wallpaper was coming off at the top so as I said it’s old and maybe not maintained at its highest.

The hotel just next to the beach, beautiful view from the window although the windows can’t be opened, room are clean and bed are comfortable. Limited amenities such as toiletries (toothpaste, bins) no telephone in the room, no fan as well but it’s ok for the price it’s offered. Feedback for the key - it’s quite diffuse to lock the door, we need to figure it out how to lock the door, may be making more simple?. And if possible to have internal phone to connect us with the reception in case we need it to ask for help or just information. Since we were in level 3 so we need to go down to ask the reception. Overall, thank you for convenience stay!

When we arrived the man behind the reception desk .Just handed me the keys and told me where to go .On opening the door I was shocked at the room. It was nothing as described .It was dark and dingy the carpet was a terrible mess .No pile on it Just unfit for purpose. when I looked out of the window and saw a big long crack in it .I decide enough was enough and not to stay there .I took the key back to him and told him to book us out. He said would I like to look at another room .Which I replied Id seen enough thank you. He would not print me any receipt that we had been there He kept on saying that he had no paper for the machine so I said just write one out. He was very awkward No customer skills at all. He finally printed a receipt after I said that I would take this further. We had to find another hotel to stay in and on the second attempt we were lucky and found one. So we Never stayed one night in that Hotel and has cost us extra, We have stayed in a few Hotels at Eastbourne. But this one is Absolutely Shocking. I would not even give it a 1 Star .This is a terrible hotel Not helped by the receptionist who just would not cooperate. We should have a full refund for the stress and upset and extra cost that we have been through>on the receipt It says that we stayed from the 14th to the 16th. As he said that he could not change it So I took him at his word. We do not wish to ever have an experience like this again

Room definitely needed some TLC and a good clean for dust but it did the job for one night where we just basically slept there ! Small room, had to hold the shower head as was coming off the wall, tv didn’t work even after trying to fiddle with the old school aerial 🙄 bedding was clean, bed comfy. Wouldn’t stay again but wasn’t awful if you’re on a budget, it’s an option

Friendly staff, good English breakfast, good location, local shops and restaurants around the hotel and seaside on front.

There were no pictures advertised on hotels website for the room which we get. I would not book this room if I would been aware about it. Room was very small and very hot. No air conditioning,window was broken,could not open it. If you want to use sink,you have to open "bathroom" door,there is no space at all. Breakfast was very poor. Coffee from the sachets 😱. If you need parking you can park on main road and pay at the mashine if you find space. Other option been given go to the back of the property. It is free but there is nowhere to park. Very bad experience, would not recommend to anyone.

The room was very clean. Staff was amazing really helpful went out of there way to help. Great location for the beach, town, bars and restaurants. Only a 20 mins bus ride to seven sisters national park. Would definitely recommend this hotel as it's a great location. Will be booking up again.

Got a room at the front looking over the sea !! For the price it’s very reasonable & I can’t complain. The staff were very helpful as well

If you are in Eastbourne for work and just need somewhere to get your head down it's fine. Beds are clean etc. Other than that, I would highly recommend the East Beach next door. They were our saviours. If you are a bit mobility impaired there are no amenities anywhere near. If it wasn't for the East Beach, we would have been stuffed

Got warm welcome from the gentleman behind the reception desk. He explained our where about are room and what lift to use We had a nice seaview room which was very comfortable The bar wasn’t open But enjoyable stay

Room was nice size, had pleasant sea view from 2 sash windows, however, smallest one sealed shut, largest one only opened about 4 inches because there was screwed-in wire connecting bottom of window to frame, stopping it from going up any further. Appalling for air circulation/cooling room during very hot days we stayed. Very unhealthy. We seem to be living more & more in nanny state where businesses think they can't trust you to behave safely, to not jump out of windows or to supervise your children properly. On other hand, they'd failed to repair broken shower door so that half a panel was substituted by flimsy shower curtain, making it fall risk for me as disabled person who needs solid sides in such a tiny square shower cubicle. Remaining bit of sliding door also didn't open properly, making it very hard to get in/out safely for disabled person who needs to hold on to something easily without twisting in order not to slip while squeezing through very narrow entry/exit space. Hotels need to get priorities straightened out. Think more about comfort/safety of particularly elderly & physically disabled guests - we need safe showers & fresh air. Worry less about being sued because someone decides to jump or parents too busy scrolling phones to engage with children. Put signs up to remind guests re open windows. If person slips/falls due to broken shower or has heart attack/stroke due to excessive heat in inadequately ventilated rm, THEN you'll have something to worry about.

The room was dusty. The mugs and the kettle were not cleaned. The bed sheets are okay but not that comfortable.
