Hot baths amazing. We were in a Western-Japanese style room. Huge space and beautiful views of mountains from the room.

Superb facilities. So many onsen- they had three private ones and two shared ones that rotated between men and women each day so you got to try a different one. I was there in peak season and had no issues getting into any of them. The grounds were so relaxing and the rooms so zen. It was a two minute walk from the bus stop that links you to the place you can get shinkansen or do the hakone loop and two mins from a 7/11! I bought my food there rather than eating at the hotel. I had the single room with western bed and it was so comfy. Totally recommend this place for a relaxing stay in the mountains

Our one night stay here was amazing and the location was great. The free robes and toiletries was a great touch. The rooms felt very Japanese and our balcony view was great to wake up too. As a travelling family of 7, the children absolutely loved the Hakone Open Air Musuem, which was a short walking distance away. The free shuttle bus service offered by the property to the train/bus station was really helpful too.

Spa was lovely. Having an option for private onsen (not inside the room) was great. Property was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed regulated r access to non-alcoholic drinks. The eco clean option was smart for those of us who don’t want room cleaning during our stays. Walkable to bus and train, but high grade hills to climb on your way home, which were no problem for us. Breakfast was plentiful, traditional and elaborate.

This is a hotel that has some of the qualities you would get at a proper ryokan. Japanese style rooms and architecture. Private baths on balcony was really nice. Both private and public onsens are available. Sauna, massages. They also have a restaurant and you can get a traditional kaiseki meal. The only thing I didn’t like was the staff encouraged us not to come saying they don’t serve vegetarian food and that’s it’s not available in Hakone. Hakone is not that small and there are probably more than a dozen places with veggie food. We had a great veggie curry walking distance from the hotel and many other meals. I wouldn’t keep that from making this your holiday destination. Hakone and this property are wonderful.

This PROPERTY IS FALSE ADVERTISING! The rooms are nothing like shown in the photos. When I reserve the room, I thought I have a room with beautiful views, and an open Onsen. That was absolutely not what I got. They were also portraying a large, beautiful blue public Onsen on the property, but I was told that hasn’t even been built, and it was not on that property. This company lies to get bookings. The staff is nice and very cordial and the included Japanese style breakfast was great,l. The existing shared Onsens were small but clean and nice. My room was not very clean. The couch was dirty with long black hairs still on it. Too bad that I had higher expectations. Otherwise, it would’ve been OK. The owners and management must be held accountable for false ad advertising!
