Lovely hotel with excellent and clean rooms. Especially enjoyed walking through the tropical garden inside the hotel lobby. Very unique design. Great view of the water from the balcony. Breakfast buffet with delicious pastries and abundant fresh fruit - nice way to start the day. Definitely recommend. 10/10.

Great stay at Hotel Jakarta…hotel is clean, staff are friendly and very helpful…breakfast was nice, lots of variety. The bakery is very nice too. Added bonus to have the spa and swimming pool, which we had most days. Would definitely go back.

We were leaving Amsterdam from the Cruiseship terminal so wanted to be in close proximity. It was very convenient to the terminal as well as the tram to get us to Central Station. The hotel is very nice, clean and comfortable. The breakfast in the morning was fantastic with everything you would want for breakfast. Would highly recommend this property.

I have mixed opinions about this hotel, it’s incredible in terms of the interiors and it’s great to have a restaurant, bakery and bar and indoor pool. When checking in, I noticed everyone else was giving a glass of champagne except for me. I guess it’s given for specific reasons but it creates a weird feeling! Staff were usually good, but when I was checking out a staff member seemed to call people over who were behind me in the queue, leaving me waiting even longer. It’s a bit far out from the centre but the tram is easy to navigate. Rooms are beautifully clean and I loved the bath. The lifts are a pain. I probably wouldn’t stay here again when I return to Amsterdam.

The room was oddly shaped. Most of the room was unusable. Half of it was entry and bathroom. Big windows but no chairs or tables to sit at. No place to store the luggage in the room. The breakfast was excellent. The onsite restaurant was so-so with poor service (slow). The location is a bit far from the main city. You need to walk over a bridge to the main road to catch a tram to get to Central Station. I would stay somewhere else next time.

Sensational, helpful staff. Gorgeous, clean, large rooms with plenty of well placed outlets. Great view of IJ river from balcony and room. Quiet. I will stay here again but if I were to add one downside, it would be the location. It is not particularly close to anything. Eating other than at the hotel restaurant (which is good) requires leaving the hotel. Walking is possible but not easy, particularly if your walking abilities are at all limited. Otherwise, what a great hotel! Thank you!,

We had the friendliest welcome when checking in. We were wowed by the hotel’s aesthetics and explored as much as we could in on weekend. The rooms were spacious and modern and I’m so glad we booked the room with a balcony. The spa was well maintained and the pool wasn’t too busy. Breakfast was great with loads of options available. I visit Amsterdam frequently and this will be the only hotel I book moving forward.

The atmosphere of this hotel is relaxing and welcoming. The rooms are nicely decorated and the beds are very comfortable. The bathtub was very much appreciated. Breakfast was good and the Indonesian dishes were fried were very good. We loved the beef stew! We were not very happy with the view of our room as it was opposite a building where the residents were making a lot of noise during the night and he deliveries for the hotel were also done in the morning just below us. We wanted fo have the door to the balcony open ti get some fresh air so we could hear all this noise. I guess if the doors are closed you cannot hear anything. The temperature in the room was good although the air con was not working to the max. Generally we love the hotel but would go for a room on a higher floor next time.

We had a fantastic stay. The hotel was beautiful and the room was spacious. The breakfast was delicious. The spa was also lovely; one thing worth mentioning is that the sauna and steam room are mixed gender and the rule is that you don’t wear a bathing suit in there. Some people kept a towel wrapped round themselves but others were naked - some people might feel uncomfortable with that. Gorgeous views from the rooftop bar. Amsterdam is a wonderful city. I would love to return and would definitely stay at this hotel again, despite it being a little out of the city.

From the outside, Hotel Jakarta Amsterdam doesn’t immediately impress in fact, my first reaction was disappointment. But my daughter gently said, “Mum, wait until we get inside.” And she was absolutely right. The moment we stepped through the doors, everything changed. The interior is stunning: beautifully designed, spotless, and full of character. The reception team were warm, helpful, and welcoming, setting the tone for the rest of our stay. We stayed in room 506, and it was exactly as shown on the website no surprises, no exaggerations. As a frequent traveller, I can confidently say this hotel exceeds the standard four‑star rating. Our room was immaculate, cleaned daily, and wonderfully quiet. We genuinely loved the atmosphere and comfort throughout the hotel. The only downside and the reason I can’t give a perfect score was the breakfast hygiene. Over two mornings, I observed the lady chef handling food with bare hands, wiping her hands on her clothes, touching the bin, and then continuing to prepare items like ham, cheese, and eggs without washing her hands. For a hotel of this calibre, proper food hygiene is essential, and this was concerning. Aside from that issue, Hotel Jakarta Amsterdam is one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in. It truly delivers on everything it promises online, and I would happily return with the hope that the breakfast hygiene is addressed.
