I was not impressed with the standard of service provided by the hotel. The staff were either unhelpful and unfriendly, or friendly but untrained to deal adequately with the public. The main complaint I have was the absence of housekeeping of the room, which I was unaware of before the booking and which I would not expect from a 3 star hotel. In addition we had to collect towels and even toilet paper from the reception. Because no housekeeping was provided by the hotel, the toilet was not cleaned during our stay and we had to clean it ourselves!

The location is good. However the hotel is a low 3 star. It is need of an urgent update. It needs decorating from top to bottom. The chain saves money ( but not in their charges) by not providing room safes, fridges, air conditioning or even cleaning the rooms daily to empty bins and put in new loo rolls. They expect the guests to do this, but don’t reflect this in the price. Front desk staff were very helpful and friendly. Staff on duty in the restaurant need to have some simple training to actually keep all areas around the food clean. They simply stand around. They need to be focussed on wiping tables immediately they are free, any spillages by the food, get that wiped, anything on the floor get it picked up not keep walking over it. No concept of hygiene or what the customer sees. In a quality hotel this simply would not happen. This can be fixed very easily and quickly. A supervisor perhaps needs to be supervising!!

Andares e elevadores imundos, cortina do banheiro imunda.... Um hotel três estrelas tem obrigação de ser limpo, ter uma geladeira, e retirar o lixo. Não me alimentei no hotel, portanto, não posso opinar sobre as refeições.

Convenient to Haymarket station. On a steep incline so if you have mobility issues you will need a taxi. Hotel books in coach tours so very full. Catering is dismal its £20 per ticket to access the buffet which was shocking. How can a hotel not do a salad bar ? Not one label on any food item. Everyone complained and was miserable .

Hotel was ok. After running marathon was looking forward to food, no food is served on a Sunday in the hotel. Had a shower, shower gel container was empty and water temperature luke warm. Got ready for bed after shower, only to realise no toilet paper provided. Had to get dressed and go down from 5th floor to reception to get a toilet roll. Staff on reception were nice, but not hugely proactive or apologetic, even when I mentioned that shower gel in room was empty too. No power sockets at bed side table and bathroom paintwork not great, could really do with being upgraded. The room itself was a decent size and I slept fairly well, therefore just rating as “ok” overall.

Going to give an honest review from what I experienced. The location is good for the price. It’s around $100 a night cheaper than other Hotels that’s a little closer to Old town/ New town. The Hotel is on the edge of Downtown It’s about 20 min walk with restaurant and beautiful 19th century buildings along the way. The Hotel has good and not so good things about it. That’s why it’s much cheaper than most of other hotels in the same area. The breakfast is good. Proper English breakfast buffet for only 12 pounds. The parking is only 7.50 pound a night. The Hotel needs decorating and renovating. The walls needs paint and needs new flooring in the corridors. The area had bits of small rubbish in hall ways and elevators that was never cleaned in the few days I was there. The room was very spacious with 65inch Tv. But, it was dated. The corners in the bath tub had mold in the sealants and most of any metal had rust areas. If the cleaning in the Hotel was supervised better it would make a big difference at the Hotel. In my opinion it was worth the Money, but I would gladly paid more if the Hotel was cleaner and had paint and flooring updated.
