A highly recommended hotel for those visiting Salzburg... The hotel is very nice, with complete facilities, coffee & tea, etc. You get a voucher for free public transportation while in Salzburg, and the location is very strategic... Just across from the Salzburg HBF train station and many restaurants and minimarkets nearby. Very satisfied.

Wonderful central location visiting Salzburg. The staff are thr best - super friendly and helpful. Very Zen vibe! The Free still and sparkling water is the best perk!!! Breakfast buffet is good. Highly recommended. We will stay there again.

Located about a five minute walk from the train station, ten to fifteen minute walk to old town. Skip the taco night if you’re a North American. Breakfast was good but an expensive add on. Room was clean and well maintained.

Air conditioning was the issue. The rooms were very warm, as it was hot in Salzburg. The air conditioning was not sufficient to cool the room. This made the positives of the hotel not worth the stay The staff was friendly, the breakfast was very good. The rooms were small and poorly appointed.

Great hotel if you want a kind of beach resort vibe in Austria for some reason. Room smelled very strongly of sandal wood. Duvet ironically too small for a hotel named “cocoon.”

I loved staying here. It was super close to the train station, and easy to get to using the bus from the airport. A short walk to Mirabelle Gardens for Sound of Music locations. The room was perfect for me.

I'd recommend, just not in a heatwave. I would have given the hotel a much better review if the air conditioning actually did anything or even if they would acknowledge that the air conditioning wasn't up to the current extreme heatwave, and if the guy working the front desk on the evening of July 28th hadn't been such a condescending jerk. (Telling us "18 C is standard" - buddy, we understand Celsius and just because the thermostat is set to 18 doesn't mean that's the temperature. It was definitely not. He seemed annoyed that we were even asking him anything.) It was more like 28 or 30 C in our room the entire stay. When the weather got much cooler one evening, we opened the windows to finally cool it off. The rest of the staff was helpful. And fortunately we found a fan in the hallway to take to our room, or it would have been absolutely unbearable. Breakfast buffet was okay, room was good except for the temperature, location across from the train station was perfect and they let us check in early and store our bags the day we checked out. Free transit pass - which I think all Salzburg hotels provide - was the best!
