DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel and Suites Victoria

The staff were all very helpful and a delight to deal with. The room we had was an accessible room and it could have been a bit bigger, it would have been a struggle with a wheel chair. The accessible shower was great but oddly there wasn’t rails or bars next to the toilet. There was also no lower hooks to hang towels if you were in a wheel chair. The thermostat and windows were also to high if you were wheelchair bound. In an effort to be Ecco friendly the hotel is trying to reduce packaging for food which I commend, our only problem was that they did not have the peanut butter contained. It was in a bulk container next to jam and margarine for the breakfast buffet. Most people wouldn’t have issue with that but for someone (like my mom) who has a severe peanut allergy this could cause instant death if it was cross contaminated with anything in the Buffett. The hotel is in a great spot and was very convenient for us for all of the things we wanted to do, walking was easy to all our favourite spots on the waterfront. Only wish is they had a pool for some of those rainy days.

Nice hotel in a great location. The best part is probably the location and having a convenient Starbucks inside. The hotel itself is quite average with the lobby area very unspectacular but it had some conveniences that would make me want to stay again if the rate was reasonable. Great stay if you need a decent room in a great area.

Staff was great and room was clean.

Lives the city view and the comfortable bed. Slept very well. The bathroom was small but functional.

Four of us stayed here. We appreciated the location, separate bedroom, fridge and Starbucks in the building. Very central. Would definitely stay here again.

All in all the stay was a nice stay, very clean and staff were very helpful. Highly recommended.

Excellent 10/10 I highly recommend getting the suite.

Our room was beautiful and clean. However, my husband is a wheelchair and must use a lift to get into bed. The accessible room’s bed was on a pedestal and it was difficult to get him into bed. In accessible room’s the hotels need to consider that some people who are disable carry lifts with them. All bed should not be on a pedestal especially in wheelchair accessible room. This should be standard in all Hiltons. Also because he was in a wheelchair the parking was difficult. We were charge for valet parking and we self parked our vehicle with no help from the staff. If you are in a wheelchair this may not be the location for you as there is no real flat spots to get out in front of the hotel. Super crowded area. The parking was okay, but there was no handicapped parking available. We had to take two spots to use our lift to get my husband out of the vehicle. The staff kept saying to us can you back in your vehicle. There was no help from them, other than letting us in the gate.

The view was spectacular. There was a lot of construction going on but that wasn’t the hotel fault. The amenities were great and having Starbucks on the property was great.!

They had no laundry mat inside the hotel. There isn’t a laundry mat in the city of Victoria. They have a dry cleaning service. The noise of the construction crew building next door woke us up early every day we were there.

Staff were friendly and helpful from check-in to check-out. Our room, the hallway and lobby were very clean. Very comfortable bed.

The hotel was close to downtown.

We recently stayed at this hotel and the staff were friendly. The rooms were clean the products in the bathroom for hair and soap were very nice. And location is perfect. Will stay here again on our next visit.

The Staff at the front desk were very helpful always had a smile on her face and I’m going to help…. The room was excellent. I had a bedroom and the living room room after the side very helpful.

great spot for an overnight stay, walking distance to beacon hill park and the marina!

I chose Double Tree because they were one of the few options with overheight parking. It turned out to be parking by valet only which was another $36 but they did a great job. The hotel was without a flaw, close to the water, very comfy bed and multiple dining options.
