West Edmonton Mall Inn

Highly recommended

West Edmonton Mall Inn was across the street from the West Edmonton Mall. You will need to cross a parking lot and a two way street to get to the mall from the hotel. This hotel has a microwave and offers free continental breakfast. It is near a playground and a soccer area. The bathroom facilities need an update. Water flow was slow in the faucet sink and took a while for the water to warm up. They allow baggage storage prior to check in and after check out. Overall, the hotel was okay.

I was able to choose a room, the room was big, clean and 2 beds. No microwave in the room and one down the hall. Right over the road from the West Edmonton mall. Breakfast was continental and plenty to choose from - great!

Room is clean. A few choices of food for breakfast and has a small space.

Helpful friendly staff. Loved walking to mall. The room was clean, but in poor repair with damaged furniture and bubbled wall paper. Didn’t impact function but was not aesthetically pleasing.

Family of 5 stayed for 2 nights Pros: Loved the easy access to West Ed mall. Had very nice and helpful front desk staff both at check in and check out. Cleaning staff/housekeeping, breakfast stafff were all very friendly and polite. Rollaway cot fit nicely in the room. Breakfast wasnt fancy but it was kept well stocked and had enough options that everyone found something they would eat even if it was just a bagel, yogurt or muffins. Rooms were nicely renovated and clean. Beds were decent to sleep on, and the AC worked great. "Cons": The hotel was seemed quite warm inside and had a bit of a musty older smell. It wasnt terrible but is noticeable. Elevators were slowly and clunky but definitely better than no elevators! We will definitely stay here again with it so close to the mall and how affordable it is!

We just found out that all the rooms are connected, which was unexpected. Our next-door guests had a baby who was having a hard time settling down, so the noise was a bit concerning during our stay. Other than that, the location was excellent, the breakfast was great, and everything else was perfect as expected.

I was asked by the person at the front desk “whats wrong with your face?” At the check in. It was strange and uncalled for. The pillow smelled like chemicals and shower water pressure almost inexistant. It felt run down and cheap.

Room was clean. I like that pet friendly room floors are hard wood. Hotel is right across the mall. Staff are so friendly and helpful.

Its ok but i highly recommend the undergroynd parking its safer esp nkw a days alot of people trying to steal stuff in your vehicle.

The room was clean. Breakfast opened at 7:30am and by 7:35 there was no where to sit in the breakfast room, every table was full every single day of our trip. The breakfast was decent, but carrying the food from the 3rd floor to our room on the 2nd floor was less than desirable. The front desk woman was rude upon arrival and lectured us for showing up later than expected. We had let her know our flights were cancelled last minute and we drove 16 hours to get there, and she told us we were lucky they still had a room because they had given our room away at 10PM the night before. She told us they no-show anyone who doesn’t arrive before 10PM. I explained to her that even if our flight wasn’t cancelled and there were absolutely no delays, we wouldn’t have made it by 10 because our flight left at 10:30PM and arrived around midnight. We booked this as a package, and when I told her they should let Expedia know their policy so they don’t pair the hotel with late flights, she told me they don’t do that, they don’t call guests to check if they’re still coming, and she was experienced in the industry and she would always expect guests to arrive before 10pm. I told her she should let Expedia know they only allow check in between 4-10 before they give your room away, and she said Expedia doesn’t allow that, however when I brought this up to Expedia they confirmed not only can they add this but they SHOULD. We left off with her telling me I’m just lucky that they’re not turning me away.

The staff were nice and clean room, just the breakfast fell short

It was perfect for our activity which was across the street. The room was clean. The bed was not comfortable though. A little too hard for our liking. Also, the coffee pot ended up leaking outside the pot. Other than that the breakfast was pretty good.
