Hilton Southampton - Utilita Bowl

We recently stayed at this hotel after breaking down on our journey. Unfortunately, we couldn’t make our first night and phoned the hotel to explain the situation. The woman we spoke to didn’t seem very interested or concerned, and we were disappointed that nobody even asked if we were okay given the circumstances. When we finally arrived the following evening around 5:30pm, the staff there were friendly and welcoming, and the stay itself was pleasant. However, the lack of empathy and customer care during our initial phone call left a negative first impression. Overall, the hotel itself was fine, but better communication and understanding in situations like this would really improve the customer experience.

Breakfast was exceptional, probably the best I've ever had in any hotel.Got the last available parking space,really brilliant service.The only thing I found wrong was the bed was really hard but maybe that was just me.One really top notch hotel this.

Beautiful hotel, clean room, very high spec, staff very friendly and helpful, just a shame about the other guests with no consideration for people sleeping, allowing their children to run up and down the hallways screaming and shouting

Room Was spacious. Balcony was good but big gaps at each side feel out small dog could’ve got under so had to keep on a lead at all times so not ideal Room was clean but did look tired not the standard I thought Hilton had

Lovely hotel, staff are very helpful. The hotel has found extra ways to charge the customer, for example parking now has a fee and this doesn’t even reserve a parking space, sometimes it’s full due to events or golf, being a guest doesn’t give you access to the spa, i booked a treatment with the spa and this treatment was around 80 mins, that should tell you how much it cost, and even that didnt give me access to the rest of the spa just the treatment room, though the treatment itself was amazing. I found the whole experience bizarre as I have never been to a four star hotel and was charged extra for literally everything apart from the room, wouldnt it make sense to make everything inclusive even if that means paying that bit extra?. Anyway that’s my take on the whole experience.

While the extra cost for use of the spa is a bit extortionate the overall stay and experience was excellent as usual, room is clean everything working correctly and staff friendly and actually ask how your stay was, something that i rarely get now in other hotels especially when my stay is poor

Superb stay and great value for money

Lovely stay, comfy bed, clean room, good staff and nice restaurant.

I thought the food at the restaurant (for dinner and breakfast) was pretty poor, and not up to the usual standard of Hilton hotels. I would stay here again, but it’s really nothing special.

Great room very comfortable and clean had everything we needed. Staff very attentive and helpful. One very minor issue would be about the parking, if you arrive in the afternoon very limited parking due to the golfers and when you have to lug suitcases between cars to reception it’s a little off putting. Be good if they could limit the golfers parking so that space for hotel guests was more available at least from check in time until early evening

Everithing good but, swimming pool is from 16+ age. Didn’t found age limit anywhere on booking. We choose this hotel because of the pool and at the end didn’t use because we were with younger kids.

Receptionist was ok but we were booked into a room that was having maintenance done so had to comeback downstairs. We were promised a restaurant voucher for compensation but received nothing. Swimming pool and spa pool were booked out and no free parking as stated on the facts on the tv.
