Nice destination next to the beach

Bar not serving alcohol and was never open. Not notice prior to booking, parking isn’t easy but good location

Hote was a good position overlooking sea That was its only redeeming feature

Place was ok, room smelled like smoke which was annoying, view was great. Really hot day and windows fixed shut only complaint really. Saw why though as seagull came knocking

Great situation on the seafront with the possibility of finding on road parking near by. Perfect for a group like ours.

Terrible. Mold and damp on the walls. Clear water damage. Mold on the windows. As soon as you walk in the room its so damp the air feels thick. Please avoid. I booked 2 nights here but couldnt stay because of how unfit for purpose the rooms are. I got told they will personally contact me for refund details within 24 hours. Its been 2 days of radio silence. Please avoid if your health is your priority.

Basic room, very few amenities , i’ve stayed at six hotels in Eastbourne but I would not give this hotel a good rating…….

For one night the hotel was convenient. Right on the seafront. Unfortunately we stayed during a heatwave and the room was oppressively hot, not helped by only being able to have one window open a few inches and the other being fixed shut. Thankfully a fan had been left in the room which we had to keep running all night. Not a great night's sleep but that's not really the fault of the hotel. For what we paid I'm not complaining but the hotel is very tired looking with worn carpets everywhere. I never expect luxury as I don't pay that sort of money but the hotel could definitely do with some investment to improve it's appeal.

The hotel has just changed hands, and the staff are trying. There are several things that could be fixed outside but overall twe had a pleasant stay. We were there for 2 nights. You can tell that everything is on a budget, but you get what you pay for. Don't expect 5 star facilities if you only pay 2 star price.

The hotel is in a very good location which was its main positive however the hotel itself very dirty and poorly maintained. The walls were stained, the shower head was broken and the window was so damaged we had to keep the curtain closed. There were patched holes in the walls which hadn’t even been painted over. Overall the hotel felt dirty, neglected and in need of significant maintenance and did not reflect the 3and half staff rating. I will not be staying here again and not recommend it

The staff were helpful and very friendly.

Hotel was an absolute disaster the room we where give stunk so much I had difficulty staying in the room,the next room given to me was no better tv wasn’t working stains on the bed sheets the toilet stunk as the waste came back up,would never recommend or stay there again

The room was like an oven when I checked in . I was given a fan which helped a bit but the room was still very hot which made sleeping difficult . I know it was one of the hottest weekends of the year but temperature in room was unbearable . The window barely opened which didn’t help. Also the room was extremely small for a double . The TV didn’t work which was really disappointing for me . In the bathroom the sink had a hole in it and water poured all over bathroom floor which was actually really dangerous as I slipped on it before I had noticed the water . One of the shower doors was hanging off had to try and get it back in place . I spoke to 3 other guests while I was there and they seemed to have same problems ie no working TV and they all were really dissatisfied with their rooms and hotel . Not a nice place to stay . It was really disappointing . I have stayed in lots of hotels in Eastbourne but never one as bad as this . It seemed like a good price when I booked it but really it wasn’t worth what I paid . I did tell them about the issues but to be honest I don’t think they seemed too interested . I certainly wouldn’t go back and would urge others not to .

From just the perspective of location and staff I would give my 5 days stay here better marks,but so much is wrong. My ground floor room (7) had a window that would only open 2 inches and it overlooked a temporary rubbish dump. I closed it all day as I was worried about rats coming in. I could hear water running down there on many occasions and it wasn’t raining. Also staff went down there to make phone calls and neighbours were noisy. Very hot and no fans. Rooms are cleaned every other day and the cleaner appeared to have got partway through my clean and finished their shift,as all the lights were on, bed hadn’t been made and it hadn’t been vacuumed. There was dust on skirting boards and under the bed was dirty on arrival and never cleaned. The tv occasionally worked, most of the channels didn’t. I had to spend quite a few minutes every day adjusting aerial and wires to a position where I could get the main channels. On the last morning nothing worked and I gave up trying. At around 11 one night the fire alarm went off. The guests made their way to reception and I had to ask the staff if it was okay to return to our rooms. No info was given before then. I never saw the bar open once and one of the guests told me they didn’t sell alcohol so he had gone to the shops and bought his own. I would not stay here again, it is really rundown and the room was big, but badly located. The shower groom was minute. If they could spend a bit of money on it, it could be lovely.

Absolutely disgusting I can’t believe they even advertise these rooms and charge. Outdated, dirty, rooms look nothing like advertised. STAY CLEAR
