The front desk staff are very nice. The room was very clean, the bed very comfortable, water and snacks are provided. The elevator was not working on the day we arrived so we had to climb two floors up to our room and my husband is 91 so it wasn't easy. The rooms are very very small and we were upgraded to a deluxe. There is no hair conditioner or body lotion provided. There was no iron or ironing board and had to wait 2 hours and ask twice for one to use. I think 4 star is pushing it, expect more like a 3 star stay. The area is very popular, very close to China town but the whole area looks a little run down in the mornings when it's quiet.

Great location & lovely hotel, unfortunately the lift wasn’t working, not staffs fault, but we did get an upgrade because of this, albeit on the 5th floor. Would definitely stay again

Great location, friendly staff. Floorboards creaked in the room and in the room above. Lift wasn't working quite a lot of the time while I was there. But overall a good experience.

The only unique thing about this property was that it was right in the middle of Chinatown, Leicester Square, Covent Gardens, but the bad part was the service at the hotel was horrible ( there was one woman who was pleasant) but all male staff was rude and lazy. The elevator did not work the 9 days I was there and Londonne was having its hottest weekend ever temperatures in the 90s the whole time I was there. They had a homeless man that they would call to help someone with luggage that did not make me feel comfortable.. There were plenty of staff at the counter and they were too lazy to help. The hotel was not busy enough. This was not a four-star hotel at all. I did not realize I booked a windowless room and although the rooms were updated and clean and had air-conditioning. I was disappointed with my room and they would not give me a different room. They actually put me in the basement first, and I was so upset that they moved me to the next floor do not stay here. It was not worth the money. i’m also disappointed with Orbitz for handling my situation. I was on the phone with them for 30 minutes 40 minutes and got nowhere with trying to change my hotel reservation. I have spent thousands of dollars with Orbitz and very upset that the one time I need help you don’t come through.

Yes, someone is at the front desk when you enter that will check to see if you have a reservation, once confirmed, you are directed to a computer to check yourself in (passport #, name, country, etc.)! The elevator was broken (after the third day when still broken, I asked again and was told that it was "out of their hands")!? We were given on accommodation, when told that room cleanings were done between 3-6 pm (bizarre, since most are readying for dinner or the theatre at that point) they did adjust our cleaning time. We did appreciate that. The windows on the outside were filthy! The shower floods the bathroom at the slightest provocation. The last morning we requested coffee bags, milk and water which had not been provided. Housekeeping arrived with coffee only saying they were out of milk and water!? My partner went down to the desk and they had both. Really this is a wearing down 2 1/2 star hotel in a good location. Not inexpensive either I will say.

The bad : The lifts DO NOT WORK! One is permanently broken and the other one worked for part of 2 days and not at all 2 days. This tarnished our stay here because walking up 6 flights of stairs is not my idea of fun after being out exploring the city and again after dinner. It is clear the owners of the hotel will not pay to upgrade the lifts as reading reviews this goes back over a year. Not fair on staff having to deal with upset customers and not fair on customers paying good money. Someone is going to seriously injure themselves one day. And what if someone had a medical emergency and paramedics can’t get up quickly to upper floors. Not impressed. Sewer smell in bathroom. Aircon like the lifts, worked intermittently. Some staff ignored customers coming through reception. The good : decent size room for London. Some staff were lovely and helpful and very apologetic. Great location. Soundproof rooms despite busy spot on the square. If they could guarantee fixing the lifts properly my review would be much higher.

If you can stay elsewhere, do. The room was tiny, the bathroom smelled (could not tell if from shower or toilet), and the linens were thin. Most horrifyingly, when we arrived one of the elevators was already broken, only for the second one to break the next day, and though we were promised a fix each day for two more days (we stayed four nights total) no such fix materialized. Our room was on the 5th floor (basically 7th given mezzanine floor) and when I asked if we could get luggage help at check out to bring our bags down I was just told no.

Our toilet and plumbing was not in great condition. The building also had the water shut off for a whole morning, so could not shower and had to use water bottles to even brush our teeth. Great location and an easy place to stay, but the general plumbing was not ideal.

Superb central location in the city. The team are all friendly and helpful. The room (king-size) was well sized with a comfortable bed, air con, kettle with a selection of coffee and teas, water, hairdryer, and a Freeview TV. The bathroom was clean and the shower large. We were on floor 5 (6th floor) and couldn't hear the outside world and could barely hear others in the hotel (not sure if other rooms near us were occupied).
