I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The rooms are clean and tidy, creating a comfortable atmosphere for resting. The area around the hotel also feels calm and supports a holiday atmosphere. The staff are very polite and friendly, making guests feel warmly welcomed. The facilities provided are also complete—in each hallway there is a water heater and a choice of coffee, tea, and mineral water that can be enjoyed at any time. Interestingly, guests can also refill mineral water for free from the dispenser available in front of the room. One of the main attractions is the rooftop swimming pool, which offers a view of the city of Yogyakarta from a height—very pleasing to the eye, especially at sunset. The location is also very strategic, located on the main road with easy access to various popular places in the city, especially to the Tugu area and its surroundings thanks to the one-way route that leads directly to the city center.

I stayed at Kamala House several times during my holiday in Yogyakarta (16–17 July, 19–20 July, and 26–28 July 2026), and each stay was consistently excellent. It quickly became my preferred hostel whenever I visited the city. The hostel is always clean, comfortable, and well maintained. I really like the 4-bed dormitory because it is quieter and feels more spacious than larger dorm rooms. The staff are friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help. One thing I especially appreciated was that the staff remembered my request for a bottom bunk and kindly assigned me bed A04 whenever it was available. It made my stay much more comfortable, and I truly appreciate their thoughtful service and attention to guest preferences. The location is also very convenient, with many attractions, cafés, and local restaurants within walking distance, making it easy to explore Yogyakarta. Overall, I had a wonderful experience during all of my stays. Thank you to the Kamala House team for your warm hospitality. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit to Yogyakarta and highly recommend this hostel to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, and welcoming place to stay.

The rooms are comfortable and clean.

Suitable for families. The staff is friendly. The room is clean, fragrant, with towels, soap, shampoo, and a complete toothbrush. There is tea, coffee, and mineral water. The room is spacious. Outside the hotel there are lots of food, snacks, a pharmacy, and a minimarket nearby. The parking is spacious for cars and is very safe at night. There is an elevator too. Overall, I was satisfied staying here :) Next time, I will definitely come here again.

The hotel is nice, comfortable, clean and in the vicinity of many hotel stalls so do not be confused when starving at night
