We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary at Gira Hanaougi. We loved our room at the private onsen. The staff were so lovely and accommodating. Shuttle bus to Gora station was great. Location was excellent as well. An experience we will never forget.

We had the same young woman that helped us from check in, to serving our breakfasts and dinners, to check out. That level of service is incredibly personal and delightful. Perfectly relaxing stay. No notes.

Very kind, helpful staff. They will go over and beyond their responsibilities. Even though the free shuttle ends at 11:00 am, we were still brought to Gora Park/Gora Ststion at 12 noon. No hesitation. Their staff is top notch! That's what makes any hotel a superb place to stay. Of course the onsen was fantastic, beautiful and clean.

The royken(sorry if mispelled) was amazing plus the view was spectacular. Wish I stayed another night. The staff were very very helpful with everything. They even made special accommodations for my shellfish allergy. 10/10 can’t wait to come back again.

Our stay at Gora Hanaougi was a worthwhile splurge. We loved the private onsen bath on our deck, the course meals were a treat and the staff was wonderful. There is a private elevator that takes you to the ropeway so that accessing the Hakone loop is seamless (and especially as the hotel will pick you up at Gora Station on arrival). This made our stay even easier.

A once in a lifetime experience that felt like luxury from arrival to departure. The rooms were incredible. We booked one with a private onsen and also used the public onsen. Both were fantastic, and I appreciated the various amenities in both the private rooms and the public onsen area. Dinner was nine courses and even included Wagyu hot pot. Treat yourself and enjoy the beautiful views of the mountain, and the total relaxation you will feel.

From the first greeting to helping us find transportation to arrive to our next destination on time, the Gora Hanaougi staff were amazing and so attentive. The property itself is gorgeous and well maintained. With a large travel group they made sure our rooms were right next to each other and prepared our meals to be enjoyed together as well. 10/10–will be coming back and recommending it to friends and family.

Excellent, especially the private onsen in your room. Overlooking a gorgeous view. The staff was amazing and the dining an experience all of its own. No shoes allowed and encouraged wearing their kimono ware to all meals. A 15 out of 10.

Staff treated us with the utmost care, my partner and I almost felt out of place since we weren't used to such attention to detail. We really felt comfortable in our private bath and the food was very delicious with different varieties. I definitely recommend Gora hanougi for anyone seeking a top level ryokan.
