We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary at Gira Hanaougi. We loved our room at the private onsen. The staff were so lovely and accommodating. Shuttle bus to Gora station was great. Location was excellent as well. An experience we will never forget.

The staff here are beyond courteous and go lengths ahead to ensure every guests stay is as comfortable and memorable as possible. From the gorgeous room with it’s private onsen to the included kaiseki that was incredibly delicious, this place stood out and provided my fiancée and I with the stay of our dreams in Gora, Japan.

The room and onsen were amazing but the thing that takes it to the next level is the service. One of the nicest places we have ever stayed. The attenton to detail is amazing and the half board was an experience in itself

Very attentive, helpful, and nice staff. They are able to help with whatever request you may have. The room is spacious, clean, and beautiful. The private onsen as part of the room was the highlight. We had great views of the mountain and during sunset and sunrise it was just an unbelievable sight. Dinner and breakfast were both amazing, delicious and one of the best meals we had on our trip

Our family of four stayed here in the suite. Experience was fantastic in every way.
Service was top notch from the moment you step foot until you leave.
Rooms were as expected; clean, comfortable beddings (both mattress and futon), and the view was picturesque.
Both private and public onsen was great. Not many people in the public onsen when I was there. Public onsen has outdoor portions which was nice environment.
Food was course meal for both dinner and breakfast. All delicious.
We didn’t get to go up tot he mountain via the cable car but I understand that the access is right off of this property.
We would definitely recommend this place if you need full relaxation and tranquility.

Ryokan with a modern twist. Appreciate the convenience of an in room onsen in our suite. Have all the modern conveniences and yet have a ryokan experience. Kaiseki dinners in partitioned enclosures lent some privacy.

The whole experience was magical - the private onsen with the sunrise view, the public onsen atmosphere, the meals were so good, the staff super friendly, and our room (again with our private onsen) was amazing. So clean and the design was great/spacious. Also, great music selection in the lounge area.

My stay at Gora Hanaougi was exceptional, hands down the best hotel experience of my life. The hospitality was incredible from start to finish, and the property itself feels beautifully tucked away in the hills of Hakone but really easy to access via the cable car and private elevator. The full kaiseki dinner was outstanding, every course was thoughtful and delicious, and the traditional breakfast was just as impressive. I stayed in the suite which had an incredible view, and it was perfect: peaceful, spacious, and designed for pure relaxation. An unforgettable experience.
