YOTEL Amsterdam, Select by Hilton

I travel to Amsterdam every year. This was my first time staying at Yotel. The staff was amazing. The rooms were clean, the restaurant and bar was great. It’s a short walk to the ferry to get to central station. The area itself is quiet and perfect if you don’t like the city congestion.

The location suited us since it was in a quiet, but up and coming area, away from the city center. The pillows were hard, and softer pillows were not available during our stay. The room got cleaned and towels got changed, but the glasses did not. When you stay several days, it should be done without us needing to ask.

Rooms were clean but very small for 3 adults family in room. No kettle. Bathrooms and basin in same room as beds is a little awkward, but seems like thats Amst style. Location is very good. 15 walk to ferry and in another 5mins you are in city centre. Parking was expensive but for peace of mind we parked at the hotel for €15 per day. Outall good experience. Will recommend to others for professional visits.

Overall hotel was great, with some space for improvement. When I asked to leave my luggage bag I was told there’s no space left at 11am? And was forced to do early check-in with a price. The staff didn’t seem to be too interested to be there. Other than this the hotel room was great and housekeeping did a great job everyday

The lighting in the rooms was cool, nothing special to it, basic rooms, not far from the city centre (15-20mins walking)

Clean room, fun colourful lights, comfy ish bed. Pillows were too hard for me. Nice area. Great toasties from the restaurant

This hotel was funky and modern. Staff was friendly and helpful. This hotel is located outside the city in a trendy neighborhood with a few local restaurants and a brewery.

Breakfast was great. Bit of a walk from the ferry but quite nice to be in peaceful area after packed day.

The hotel in itself was nice, modern and the location is in a quiet area. However, unfortunately, we had multiple issues with our stay. Checking in process was easy and seamless, however upon entering the room, our bathroom door was jammed shut and took some prying to open. After adjusting the bed, it became clear it hadn’t been cleaned properly as there was a suspicious white stains on the headboard. The hairdryer looked like it had set it self on fire and melted. The plug socket near the sink was hanging off (BIG HAZARD). The morning after our first night, we went to raise these issues with the front desk. The first person we spoke to was so disinterested and was pre occupied doing something on her computer, even after asking us what the issues were. The second staffer then came along and asked us to recall the issues again, as the first staffer couldn’t recite what we had just said. We noticed how the second staffer didn’t write down any of what we told her - which was interesting because we had more than one issue. Upon getting back to the room, the only issue that had been rectified was a new hairdryer. The stains were still on the headboard and the bed had not been changed, just remade with existing sheets. Overall we are disappointed in the stay and wouldn’t recommend. To boot, the customer service was borderline non existent. We have photos of everything too.
