YOTEL Amsterdam

It was a really good experience staying in this hotel, the premium hotel has a big space. Aside from the location that [is] not too close to [the] ferry station/central, overall it[’s] recommended to stay here

The hotel was great. It's a new building hotel. Overall experience was great. The location itself was not close to the ferry station; it took around 10-12 minutes walk to reach there. For travelers carrying big luggage from the central station, might consider using a taxi to reach this hotel, but overall it was a really good experience to stay in this hotel.

The location is at the other side of Amsterdam Centraal station. So from the station, you have to take the ferry (this is free) and bus number 38 (2 stops) to get to the hotel. If you are first time in visiting Amsterdam, maybe stay near red light district or really close to The Amsterdam Centraal. I think the hotel’s staffs are nice but still average in hospitality, nothing outstanding. The room is big enough for a solo traveler like me, clean also. My complaint is about the bed. The material of the bed is something I don’t like. It’s the type that when you sleep on it, it doesn’t fully support your body, easily changing shape when pressed and too high from the floor, it was hard to get up and sit on the bed! And they make half of the bed higher, so it was like a 45 degree of angle, what was the point, make it a sofa? We need to recline it to sleep like a normal person, this ain’t hospital! But overall the price is reasonable.

Everyone at the receptionist was extremely helpful: give us recommendations of restaurants in Amsterdam. Very cool public area which opened 24 hours for snacks and coffee, and very pleased with heated towel rack. It's pretty crucial during winter!
