Located on the 4th and 5th floors of the Suria KLCC shopping mall, right within the iconic Petronas Twin Towers, this museum was inaugurated in 1999 under the leadership of Malaysia's 4th Prime Minister, Mahathir Mohamad. Operated by Petrosains Sdn. Bhd., a subsidiary of Petronas, Malaysia's renowned oil and gas company, the museum is dedicated to unraveling the mysteries of petroleum development and futuristic technology.
Accessible via the red KJL line, you can conveniently hop on from the main Kuala Lumpur train station to reach the KLCC station, merely a five-minute stroll away from Petrosains. Alternatively, you can board a train from any LRT station across the Klang Valley area, heading towards the KLCC Station (KJ10).

Petrosains, The Discovery Centre is located in the heart of Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC). It is situated on Level 4 of Suria KLCC, the most iconic premier shopping destination in Malaysia.
How to Get There
1. By Train
Hop on a train from any LRT station within the Klang Valley area and head towards the KLCC Station (KJ10). The integrated train system offers the most convenient way to navigate the city center.
2. By Bus
1. RapidKL City Buses:
- B103: Titiwangsa Bus Station at Jalan Tun Razak → KLCC (stops at KLCC LRT Station)
- B114: Maluri Bus Station at Jalan Cheras → Titiwangsa Bus Station at Jalan Tun Razak via KLCC (Stops in front of Suria KLCC)
2. GOKL City Bus (free bus service)
- Green Line: Bukit Bintang → KLCC
- Purple Line: Arab Street Taxi (interchange) → KLCC
3. KL HOP-ON HOP-OFF (city tour coach)

4. By Taxi
Opt for taxis, a popular mode of transport in Kuala Lumpur. Ensure the fare meter is on before starting your journey, and request to be dropped off at the main entrance of Suria KLCC.

Access KLCC via Jalan Ampang, Jalan P. Ramlee, and Jalan Kia Peng. Tunnels at Jalan P. Ramlee, Jalan Tun Razak, and the Ampang – Kuala Lumpur Elevated Highway (AKLEH) provide direct access to KLCC Parking Bays. Alternatively, use the navigation app and search "Suria KLCC."
Motorcyclists can park at Level P1 and Level P3 with entrances at Jalan P. Ramlee and Jalan Tun Razak.
