Also known as Natuna Airport. It is the only airport that serves the Natuna Regency. It is a public airport and a military airbase for the Indonesian Air Force. The airport only has two terminals with the new one just inaugurated by the Indonesian president in October 2016. Ranai Airport only has one runaway. The airport only handles three domestic destinations. Its main destination, Batam, has several flights per day throughout the week while to Tanjung Pinang thrice a week while to Pontianak, only two times. Airlines that provide services to Ranai Airport are the Sriwijaya Air and Wings Air going to Batam, Xpress Air to Tanjung Pinang and Nusantara Air Charter to Pontianak. The airport has a rather spacious carpark that can accommodate just some 150 cars and 30 motorcycles. Ranai Airport is just ten minutes away from the town centre.
