Great location. Less than 10 mins walk from Sky bus terminal (for a pensioner with a heavy suitcase). 2 mins walk to tram stop for free tram. The reception/desk staff were very helpful with transport links. I was upgraded to a room with a street view, with a fridge/ kitchen/cooking facilities. Would definitely recommend

I have stayed here a few times over the years and the location is great and the staff are kind, the cleanliness has gone down a bit over the years, and also parking is a bit of a challenge seen there is no onsite parking anymore but great value for money and safe

Went to attend our paperwork 30min before check-in- room wasn’t ready- fair- told them I’ll be back in 30min. Went back at 2, still not ready. Asked to wait- then 10min later they said they still need 5min. I took the keys and told them I would walk slow. When we got there 10min later they were still vaccummiing but let us in- asked about the delay- they said there was a malfunction in the room. Once in the room realised the aircon wasn’t working- as we were about to call they arrived with a new card for a different room, saying the electricity was out in that room- not sure why they didn’t just give us the new room in the first place instead of making us drag out 3yr old around for over 30min

Disappointed with bathroom. No vanity unit only sink and no one should have to deal with a shower curtain. Lovely and roomy and bed comfortable. Close to tram stop and Southern Cross Station.

Shower curtain was not long enough so that the rest of the bathroom got very wet.

Location of this property is fine, a 15 min walk to the mall or the convention centre. The rooms are basic. Do not book an internal room- horrible. The pool is a swamp with 30cm of green water in the bottom. Staff were nice but don’t recommend propertty

Only small gripes re Nespresso machine leaking and the hot water only being luke warm, the room and service was excellent.

Good location, check in staff great, However the room was average at best, had a weird smell, and the bathroom/ toilet was disgraceful. Tiny and nonexistent water pressure I doubt I’ll be back

I paid for a balacony suite and was not given one. When I asked for a room change it was denied.

Nice spacious room, comfortable bed, great location.

This studio apartment was very noisy and lacked blockout blinds. The beds and pillows were not up to scratch. Hot water in the shower was “warm water” at best

I stay here all the time because the heater in the room isn’t climate controlled by the hotel. You can choose your own temperature. I’ve stayed elsewhere where you can’t turn the heater up or even get it off air con. Thé soap and shampoo supplies at oaks smells amazing too.theres a mini mart pretty much next door to buy food to heat up in the rooms microwave etc. it such a convenient hotel to train station . Love it

Easy walk to shops and transport. Room clean and modern

Very disappointed in this hotel. Bathroom exhaust fan did not work, bathroom shelf hanging loosely, bathroom soap dispenser fell off wall. Dishwasher did not work. Reported to reception on day 1, was told maintenance would come and rectify problems. No one showed over the next 4 days. We paid a very inflated price due to F1 weekend, 4 times the normal price which we were prepared to pay for a nice room. Unfortunately we did not get it. On the plus side location was great.

The property was extremely tired and run down. The door lock of the 1st room we were assigned stuck and would not open without several attempts using both hands. We drew a line when we were inside the room and the door would not open, effectively locking us in inside. We asked and where given a 2nd room. The shower in that room had a leak at the wall so that when you turned the shower tap on, it sprayed water like a fountain up over the show curtain all over the bathroom, pooling puddles of water that leaked into the bedroom. We had to use a towel to cover the leak. The refrigerator also did not work at all and so items in the refrigerator was room temperature. The staff were good in relocating us but the property is tired and badly needs maintenance.
