Perfect for families to stay with little kid as rooms with kitchen are spacious and easy for light cooking in incase u need one

Owners of the hotel, please read this review. I visit Canmore at least once a month with my toddler, and this was our second trip in two weeks. This time, I chose a more budget-friendly option (around $185 for a Saturday night), so I kept my expectations low. That said, the experience was disappointing. The room felt very outdated, and I found several dark hairs on the shower walls and even on top of the bathroom door. I understand housekeeping can miss things, but it still doesn’t feel good as a guest. The shampoo and conditioner dispensers were also very old and worn. There was no microwave in the room, which was inconvenient with a child...I later found one in the shared laundry room. Not a dealbreaker, but not ideal either. The TV remotes were greasy and sticky; I had to clean them myself. The chairs looked extremely worn, one with a visible white stain, giving the impression they were past their usable life. On the positive side, the beds were comfortable and appeared clean. However, the biggest concern was finding a small bug in the bed in the morning. I initially feared it might be a bed bug. Later, I developed three large, itchy bites on one leg. I can’t say with certainty they came from that bug, but the situation was unsettling and unpleasant. The staff were friendly and kind, which I appreciated. But overall, the property needs attention: better cleanliness, updated furniture, and proper pest control. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning.

Great clean room with an amazing kitchen

Kitchen was fully stocked. Couch is not comfortable but the beds were good. Bit outdated but served our needs.

Clean room

Our room was very dirty. The fridge had not been cleaned out from previous guests, food stuck on stove and surrounding walls. Blinds in kitchen were filthy. Bathroom door had lotion smeared all over it, mold was present in bathroom around edges. Well looking for a plugin to charge devices we moved a nightstand and there was a lot of dust and toe nail clippings! Bedding skirting was torn & falling off. I will say the beds were comfortable and the kids enjoyed playing in the park.

Room was clean. New flooring. Sheets were crisp and new.

My daughter was having major surgery in Banff and we needed to stay within 20 minutes of the hospital for 48 hours. Our first night the room was clean and going to meet our needs but the heat was not working (neither was the TV) and there were no vacancies, so we were provided a space heater (and we had our phones, so the TV didn't matter). Then in the morning of her surgery there was no hot water in the room already with no heat. When I went to the front desk, the overnight employee did not care at all about our room issues. His game of Solitaire on the computer seemed far more important. My daughter needed to shower before surgery and he was not willing to help me and did not care that our room had no hot water. I got my daughter to the hospital and when she was under I returned to the hotel to deal with my room. The daytime front desk person was absolutely amazing and upgraded our room immediately and she profusely apologized and offered for me to talk to the manager when he came on duty at 11:00 a.m. The new room was absolutely amazing! I stepped in and the room was immediately warm, it was clean, there were three different bed options, a fireplace, kitchen, a working TV and a patio. The second night was way better and the staff during the day were just so lovely and understanding of my daughter's post-op needs. We will come back and try another stay when surgery is not the reason for the stay.

Rocky Mountain Ski Lodge was really nice. It’s an old building but it’s very clean on the inside. The oven and stove in the room I had were very clean and very helpful for saving a little bit of money. The view was beautiful. The staff were lovely as well, I would stay here again.

The hotel was quiet even though it was busy. It smelled nice and clean in my room. The hotel is an older building from the outside but decent for a cheaper hotel. Located very close to things needed.
