This is such a lovely hotel! We opted for a Club room and I’m so glad we did😊 The room was really spacious with a floor to ceiling window framing the fabulous River Tyne view and easy chairs right by the window to enjoy it. The room has included WiFi which was strong enough to stream and a well equipped, though slightly tired bathroom. In addition to the room, the staff were friendly and helpful, the bar served very good cocktails and the breakfast was excellent value. All in all an excellent experience, and I’m sure we will be back to the Copthorne hotel very soon!

So this was a game of two halves. The Hotel itself is nice and the reception staff are lovely but thats where it ends. The food is terrible. Overpriced and very poor. My wife had the scampi which tasted like potato croquettes. I had fish and chips and I am not joking when I say the fish was rhe size of a fish finger and the chips were cold and greasy. The bar staff just spent all their time giggling in the corner of the bar and could not have been less attentive if they tried. Everything at the Breakfast was undercooked. Avoid. Terrible.
