All staff were excellent..in particular Nicola at the front desk..nothing was too much trouble and with a lovely welcoming manner. The room was superb with a lovely view of the river Tyne from both indoors and from the balcony. The bed was comfortable, the shower was excellent and the fridge was a bonus. Breakfast was great..lots of choice in both continental and cooked. Decaf coffee and oat milk were on offer - very unusual!
I would thoroughly recommend this hotel, we will definitely be staying here again when in Newcastle and will be investigating other hotels in this chain.

check in was quick room was warm and cosy the bed was comfortable staff cheerful as always bar prices were good compared to what we were paying along the quayside seems as if they have had a bit of refurbishment since were were last there great views over the river a nice quiet night overall a wonderful stay

The room had plenty of space. The bathroom was cramped and flooded whenever a shower was used. There was no explanation about housekeeping so we did not know we had to put a card on the door requesting the room be cleaned so it was left untouched during the two days there.
The security people were miserable and did not respond when we said good evening or hello. Reception staff and bar staff polite and friendly.
The view from the room was nice. The bed was a bit uncomfortable.
Bit pricey for what it is. But overall experience ok.

Location is great right by the river uphill walk in to city centre but not that far
Breakfast was of good variety and although you had to pay for parking it was safe and very easy
Our room was comfortable and clean and we had a great view of the river Tyne.
Would definitely stay again.

The hotel is looking a bit tired. Not keen on shower over bath arrangement, as 57 years old. Plumbing looked ancient. Was nevertheless nice and clean.

We had a standard room which was very clean and spacious. My only complaints are that the bathroom was definitely in need of updating and there were no bottles of water in the room. But the views are stupendous!! We will certainly go back again.
