I appreciated the generally friendly staff, and being allowed to check in early was a definite plus. However, for a four‑star hotel, the room itself had several shortcomings. The lighting was particularly disappointing: only harsh ceiling lights with no floor lamp or softer lighting options, which made it difficult to create a relaxing atmosphere. The bathroom was a decent size and included a bathtub, which I liked, but it wasn’t as clean as I would expect. The tub was also extremely slippery, so guests should take care when using it. Breakfast was one of the stronger points. The food was well cooked, with especially good sausages and bacon. That said, it was surprising that there were no fried or boiled eggs available—only scrambled—which felt like a missed opportunity. Another drawback was the staff hovering very close to the tables during breakfast. At such an early hour, when most people are still waking up, it didn’t create the most relaxing environment. The location near Warren Street Tube Station is convenient, but my stay was disrupted by refurbishment works in some of the rooms. Drilling and noise went on for several hours one day—from around 10am to 4:30pm—and there was no prior notice given on the website or at check‑in. For a hotel of this standard, that lack of communication is very poor. I would consider staying here again, but mainly for the location and the quality of the breakfast.

The best bed ever! I loved my stay nearby to everything, theaters, train to HP and Heathrow. Made my stay a pleasure!!

The staff were super helpful on a couple of special issues. Stephanie on reception was lovely. The common areas were nicely kept. Room was comfortable. Great value for the location.

Great location, very friendly staff but the room needed great improvement, the bathroom was in need of improvement. You could hear people talking in the street as the windows are the poor and you could also hear every noise in the corridor.

Lovely newly renovated room. Bathroom a bit narrow, but was a small double I booked. William on front desk very helpful and sorted out my breakfast and added on at reduce rate, as weblink didn't work. Room comfy and food yummy as web link didn't work. Honoured same price.

Kind an welcoming staff, clean room, very central, close to both bus stations and underground stations. The only thing that I didn’t like was that the hotel was quite old.

Reception staff polite and helpful. Breakfast staff in dining room were ever so polite and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Hotel close to warren st station which was handy to get around everywhere. Nice location and lots of local eateries. Room was clean and comfortable. Even better if has slippers. Would defo stay again.

Property is quite old...bar is quite small with limited selection...and construction work right next to our 3rd floor room started at 9:00 each morning, causing a great noise.

Room was very clean. Staff were very helpful. Overall a great stay. We willbe back.

room was too hot and fan too loud to leave on overnight. Very dated decor and god awful shower/bathroom. No plugs by the bed and no lamp by the bed. They tried to charge nearly £30 for a breakfast - no thanks
