The Lalit London

Our room was very nice, but I have a bad allergies, and so cleanliness is very big for me. It was very warm during our stay so we used the AC and it was making me sneeze. When getting into bed in the evening, my allergies were going and I felt sniffly, and so I must have disturbed some dust in the mattress or bedding when getting in. I was sneezing all morning after waking up which is really disappointing, given what you normally expect for a 5 star hotel. As well, we specified that my partner has a gluten allergy in the booking, and the hotel staff did kindly leave a cake in the room for our stay as a complimentary item, however it was definitely not gluten free, and none of the other items in the room were gluten free. For this level of hotel, you do expect things to be done correctly and so while the gestures were kind and staff were friendly, it did fall flat The main positive I can call out was their breakfast, especially the Indian food items which were exceptional, however the room is the main part, and it was certainly a let down

On arrival the reception staff were somewhat disinterested and glum. It took four trips to reception to get a key that worked on our bedroom door. The first night we were kept awake by a faulty air-conditioning unit outside our door. Reported it next morning and nothing happened. Second night still noisy. At 23.30 we were moved to another room.

Great location and cute hotel

I have stayed in London hundreds of times for work and always thought Lalit was a bit out of the way - nonsense! 5 mins to London Bridge tube (15 mins to Bond Street) but also a few minutes walk to the bustling south bank and all the restaurants by Tower Bridge. A beautiful hotel, the staff were very attentive and as in the old St Olaf's grammar school lovely architecture. Room was quiet, bright and large all very well decorated. Large bathroom and one of the best showers I have ever stood under! I would highly recommend.

Very clean and comfortable hotel with extremely welcoming staff . The bedding /towels were excellent. My only criticism is for 5 star hotel it was lack in guest services . The bar closed at 10.30 one night and early on the second night . There are no room services avail after 21.30! We requested an ice bucket and wine glasses be bought to our room ready for when we returned from a concert . It never arrived! We asked for our room to be made up as we left to go out for the evening at 18.00. It did not happen . We enquired about the breakfast menu , nobody could show us one ! They wanted £30 for an English breakfast but no details of what this included and again nobody could tell us . Therefore we did not eat at hotel . I enjoyed my stay but it is NOT 5star more 4. There are many other hotels in London to chose so unfortunately will not return despite the warm welcome and comfort

Another excellent stay at the hotel. I had the same room which was immaculately clean, comfortable, beautiful decor with well-stocked fridge and hot drinks. I tried the cocktails in the stunning bar this time. The service by Vinoy was friendly and professional and the drinks were unusual and really delicious. I would definitely recommend this lovely hotel for a relaxing stay

Ideal location for sight seeing yet away from the crowds and hustle and bustle, so it's peaceful, staff are all professional, friendly and attentive.

My stay was very short (overnight), so I was not able to enjoy the dining options, but the rooms, facilities and staff were all great. Check in staff was very courteous. Room was spacious, comfortable and clean. I would stay at this hotel again if I had the opportunity.

We absolutely loved our stay at The Lalit. It is just a beautiful hotel, very comfortable and the personnel are just amazing, specially Fabrice. We would most definitively go back to The Lalit and recommend it to friends and family. Very comfortable and a unique experience.

Apart from a somewhat unwelcoming and surly concierge we really enjoyed our stay at this lovely hotel. Room was quiet and comfy, spotlessly clean which a really nice bed. Complimentary soft drinks in the room a nice touch.

Was a beautiful decor just needs a little facelift

Beautiful hotel with a warm welcome on arrival. The bedroom and bathroom were very clean. Lovely toiletries in the bathroom and a good selection of drinks, biscuits and crisps in the room. I didn’t try the restaurant or bar but the decor was stunning. A short walk from London Bridge station and the river . I’d definitely stay again

Great stay in a lovely room

I booked this hotel for location/convenience. The room was a good size, bathroom was a wet room, which I’m not hugely keen on. Little extras like the soft drinks and crisps/biscuits in the mini bar were a nice touch that I appreciated given there wasn’t room service option and the bar closed- the ability to make my own drink in the room when I got back from my function was appreciated. Very pricey most the time so wouldn’t ordinarily look here but managed to get a good deal. I didn’t have a chance to try the breakfast - but have eaten lunch here before and it’s delicious.

This was an amazing Hotel We would highly recommend it.
