Staff were very attentive, polite and explained what needed to know, checked us in very quickly and show to our room. Room was clean and stocked with pkenty of tea, coffee etc.
Bed was very comfortable and nice fresh bedding and towels, toiletries were supplied. Food in the restaurant was very nice and a good price and generous portions.

It’s a little tired but the staff on the whole are friendly. The food is okay and the room was comfortable although one side of the bed sloped towards the outer edge! The heating was on as well, despite the radiator set to ‘off’.

Welcoming pub with accommodation. The homemade pie that I had for my evening meal was excellent, and breakfast was served quickly and with a smile.
The bedroom had air conditioning, which on a weekend when temperatures were 30 degrees plus made a huge difference to the stay.

Lovely to see a proper village pub so busy on a couple of weekday nights in Mid-January. And quite rightly so - friendly staff, friendly locals and friendly guests.
Breakfasts were great, dinners delicious and very reasonably priced (wife said the Rib-eye steak was the best 'pub steak' shed ever had and my chicken goujons were fantastic.
