As long as you can manage the hill down to the city centre and back up again this is a lovely place to stay. June and Greg are welcoming and helpful. The room was spotless and comfortable and had everything you would need. We liked the serve yourself breakfast arrangements. There was plenty of choice and the fruit salad was particularly good. A real bonus was having the dining room open in the afternoon and evening with tea and coffee available and June's delicious home-made cake, and the opportunity to use it to eat your own food or takeaway. Beautiful garden too, though the wet weather prevented us from making use of it!

Staff made us feel very welcome and were very helpful. Accommodation was comfortable and clean although a bit dated in places. A good selection of breakfast food was provided and the breakfast room is made available to guests to eat their own food with use of the microwave at other times.

I don't think I've ever been made to feel so unwelcome at a hotel or B'n'B. We were using public transport. We were dropped off by taxi at 10am. Obviously we weren't expecting to check in but I've never stayed anywhere where luggage storage isn't available. The owner's immediate reaction was to tell us we check in isn't until 2. She did allow us to leave the luggage but I was taken aback at the unwelcoming attitude.
We came back at 2. Owner complained that she had no details about the booking. As I booked through Expedia, perhaps she can take the lack of information up with them. At check-in there was none of the usual pleasantries - (e. g did you have a good journey /come far/welcome to Truro)
Our luggage had been put in someone else's room. We were happy to move it, but assumed that the "Mr Richardson" the owner was talking to was someone on the floor above as neither my husband nor myself are called Richardson, so my husband didn't immediately help.
The room was OK. The bed was comfortable. The room and showerroom were very clean.
We had a look at the breakfast but didn't bother eating -one of the pastries on offer was the sort of cellophane wrapped type you get on railway catering trolleys.
Rooms have instructions about keeping noise down after 11 p. m - that's fair enough but possibly the same courtesy could be shown in the morning too as we were woken at 6.30am by television blaring from an adjoining room.
Location is excellent and the garden is beautiful.

This is the place to stay if you want the perfect b&b in Truro. June, the owner, was a very friendly lady and gave us all the information we needed about Truro. It is a 10 minute walk to the town centre. We had the 4 poster bed room which was very comfortable and spacious. We had the best sleep of our 5-week holiday here. There was a room at the front of the house where you not only had breakfast but could also have a cup of tea, coffee or hot chocolate, as well as June’s wonderfully freshly baked cake at any time of the day. Highly recommended.

Tastefully decorated townhouse on quiet road a few minutes walk from Truro town centre, with off-street parking. Immaculately clean, with a wide selection of cold buffet breakfast. Spacious bedroom and en suite. Tea and coffee facilities in the room and a refreshment room for use throughout the day for teas and coffees. Homemade cake was a nice extra touch - an delicious. Very central, east walking distance to Hall for Cornwall the Cathedral , shops and restaurants. .Extremely comfortable well cared for room, well decorated and spacious. We loved the extras such as home made cake on arrival, good quality coffee bags in the room and access to a complimentary coffee/chocolate machine during the day. There was a great choice of fruit for breakfast.

My wife and I had a wonderful short stay at the Townhouse. The hospitality was second to none, the hosts were always willing to help with amenities and general info on where to dine and places to visit both locally and further afield. The provided Continental breakfast was enjoyable (mini cereals, a variety of yogurts, fruit, teas, coffees, white and brown sliced bread, croissans and more). There was even a home-made baked cake which quests can help themselves to every afternoon! The room was clean with ample storage, parking was on-site and no hassle. The garden to the rear was a beautiful experience with ample seating, trees, flowers and plants. The property was a short walk from the town center. We're planning to stay for longer in 2026.
