What Guests Say About Their Stay

We spent three days in the hotel and had a fabulous time. Our 5th floor room was compact but had everything we needed. The staff-especially the man who greeted us at 11pm on the Wednesday 3rd-were so helpful and kind. Nothing was a problem. Breakfast was great-good opening hours and had something for everyone. The staff there could have been a bit more friendly but were ok. The pool and spa area was small and compact but well run and very clean. The massage we had was very relaxing. Our only issue was with the pool and changing area. You have to book the pool and on one of the days we booked it, there were 4 ladies in there already so no room for a proper swim and since they’d taken the only beds, nowhere for us to relax. When we then went for our massage ( before getting the train to uk) there was nowhere to shower or get changed as the changing room was in use. We’d been told that we’d be able to shower and wash hair etc but then weren’t allowed in changing room. Since we’d paid over £200 for this, I feel that it should have been available to us. Overall the hotel itself was a great experience and in a great location and we look forward to returning soon!

This is a nice hotel in a really good location. Gare Du Nord is about a ten minute walk away and Gare Du L’est is across the road. There’s also a train entrance directly outside the hotel. I walked to the Louvre Museum in half an hour and many other locations. There’s also many restaurants and fast food places and a supermarket across the road too. It’s a good place to stay but my only small criticism is the shower and bathroom which is quite small (perhaps because I was in a single room?). The bathroom also doesn’t have enough toiletries. I always bring my own but it would be nice if they provided things like a shower cap, bars of soap, cotton wool, cotton buds etc. The staff are nice - Ashley and Jay answered my many questions and Jay recommended a great Caribbean restaurant - thank you! Tay was also friendly when I checked out. I think it’s a bit too pricey for what it is but would recommend staying here.

Shower area was very small not even room to move around properly. Toilet was so small, looks like it is so difficult to breathe if you close the door, very scary! Location wise fine for dining options and for train station. Overall my recommendation not to choose this hotel if you can find anything around.

The hotel was clean, the room service and staff were exceptional. Check in and check out was smooth and fast and the staff even helped coordinate surprise balloons as this trip was a celebration for my partner, these touches make a real difference. My only wish was that we could use the stairs because we were on floor 5 and each time we waited for the one small lift it was full of many people each time which meant we had to wait for the next round. The location of the hotel was fine in terms of getting around, just a 10 minute walk from the main eurostar station and metros all around. The general area seemed quite poverty stricken and many homeless people nearby at local street feeding shelter across the road from the hotel, people sleeping and living in tents, and lots gathering in large numbers. Some nearby restaurants I could see waiters asking the homeless people to move away and stop bothering customers which I saw lead to one loud argument. The hotel is within its own clean, safe, space and I would stay here again but think this should be known.

I was very surprised to find out that use of the pool has to be scheduled and PAID FOR in advance. I never heard of such a thing. The confirmation and advertisement for this hotel show the pool. I planned my day around coming back to relax in the pool for the evening, got bathing suits on and headed to the pool only to have a very rude man answer the door and say you are not scheduled and close the door. Front desk said I should have been told that when I checked in but when I arrived my room wasn't ready so my check in was split into two steps. They offered no apology or compensation - could have at least offered a coupon for breakfast.

The room was excellent, except for closet doors - hard to open due to faulty hardware. Room was cold because building heat was off (early May). Who knew there could be a cold snap in Paris in late spring? Staff was very accommodating in providing extra blankets, much appreciated! Excellent breakfast buffet.

The surrounding area is not the best area. After all, it’s located right near the train station and it’s what you’d expect to see around train stations. That said, this hotel appears most attractive in the area. It was clean, lots of natural lights and comfortable inside of the room. My room was sufficient for one person; my room had a separate toilet room which was nice. Staff was sweet and friendly. I made a phone call for me when I had to call a local shop for something. In one morning, I asked for more instant coffee packs and the person who seemed like a manager took me into a hotel restaurant and allowed me to get a cup of coffee from the coffee machine which was what I exactly needed at the moment. If you’re traveling in and out of the train station, I recommend this hotel.

They wanted to charge us for the sauna and swimming pool facilities, which they call it “spa”. However none of that was mentioned on the hotels.com listing. There’s no fridge in the room, which was a huge problem for us as some food needs to stay in the fridge. And the bathroom door was hollow, so it’s basically useless
