It was just a bit confusing during check-out. The check-in time was 12 noon, and we were told to leave immediately. However, when we checked in, we were told to wait until after 3 pm before entering the room. Otherwise, everything was fine.

The service was excellent. Check-in was simple, with no deposit required. Checking out was done before 11:00 a.m., so I didn't feel hounded by phone calls from staff asking for confirmation. The check-out process was also very simple, just returning the card and not having to wait for a room inspection. As a guest, I felt very trusted by the Ibis staff. As my first time staying at an Ibis, the service was honestly very satisfying. A small improvement would be to renovate the walls between rooms to make them more soundproof, as the sound from the guest next to me was very audible.

This wasn't my first time staying here. But this time, I was disappointed. The room temperature was AC, even though it was set to -10. The hotel lobby was even colder than my room. I'd asked the front desk to check during check-in, but to no avail, and I hadn't received any confirmation either.

The staff was very friendly and good looking. I wish I can celebrate my birthday party at Ibis Hotel Samarinda, and the variant of cake and food is more like Canelle from Coffee&Co cafe by Ibis Samarinda.
