Gioberti Art Hotel

If you’ve booked this hotel and are worried after reading the negative reviews about the location and rooms etc, please read this!! Hotel - after reading reviews about the rooms being loud cause of the streets, I luckily saw one review saying to stay in a room NOT FACING THE STREET. I requested this as soon as I checked in and the receptionist kindly moved our original room to one facing inwards, so our view was of a courtyard/ not facing the street. We had no problems sleeping, barely any noise from the street! Rooms were spacious and clean, really liked the decor and could relax well. Shower also worked fine for us, plenty of hot water! Location - the hotel is a stones throw away from Termini, and is in a more rough part of town which is evident when you leave the station. However there is very strong police presence around and even the army is stationed nearby so it made us feel safer. There is also security on the hotel door at night. There are drug addicts etc around however they didn’t bother me and my partner, even at night when we’d walk back at 11pm even later sometimes. Just have your wits about you and if walking late, stay on the Main Street which is well lit with police presence. I would avoid if hotel if after reading this, it still makes you worried. However being so close to termini is really useful for getting around. 20-30 min walk to the main sites like colesseum, trevi etc and tubes / busses so accessible from here. Overall we really enjoyed our stay.

Location is perfect for being next to Rome’s main station, however, it gets sketchy at night. Breakfast was great! Gym is small but has everything you need for a quick workout. Room was very big and comfy but the carpets did have stains.

The room itself was ok. I stayed 6 nights in the hotel and often there was no hot\warm water. There are many sketchy people on the street in front of the hotel who scream, break glass bottles and argue with each other. They are constantly there even during the night. Four of them tried to follow my teenage daughter which made it very scary. I would not recommend this place for families with children.

Clean, comfortable room right next to the train station. Couldn't be more convenient for buses or the metro. Very good to excellent breakfast, good variety. Good air conditioning, even with temps reaching 97*. It was like an oasis in a not so good part of town, next to the train station.

Great location, friendly staff and good breakfast. Right next to termini station, and walking distance from all tourist attractions.

My only issue would be the room temperature. I appreciate my Italian brethren and their culture, however (I can speak for Americans), the air conditioning must be cooler. Otherwise, I'd quickly come here again.

The GA Hotel was nice, clean and in a good location. The staff was great and helpful. There was some confusion on the number of beds requested so make sure you confirm the amount of beds before your day of arrival. Our bathroom fixtures leaked on the floor and staff moved us to another room with double beds. The rooms were nice and the beds were comfy. Breakfast buffet had a variety of food. All in all the Gioberti Art Hotel was a nice hotel.

The staff at the time of our check-in was helpful making the checking in process easy and painless. He was kind, gave us advice on what to look out for and offered suggestions on where we should go. We had strong wifi throughout our stay. Breakfast was quite lacklustre/underwhelming, there wasn’t much option wise. The shower door was difficult to open, had to use a lot of strength to open the door as the handle was quite small.

The gentleman that worked the afternoon/evening shift was very helpful to us. He gave us dining recommendations, arranged for a cab that could take 5 of us and he was just a delight to talk with. You can see the passion he has for his job.

Clean hotel in a good location close to main train station and Metro Staff were helful although one key card was loaded up with wrong departure time but this was soon sorted. Air conditioning was difficult to judge as visited during a heatwave and it it was difficult to do its job affectivly. Room clean decent size good to have a kettle. Breakfast a little basic but still good choices. Overall a good hotel but could do better in terms of facilites and make more use of the top breakfast room which could have a perminant use of coffee machine or a bar

no channels to watch world cup soccer. And it cam get very noisy at night, homeless people screaming outside.

There was mold in bathrooms and hot water did not work right. Otherwise, location and staff were awesome.

Staff was friendly, the hotel doesn't have too many amenities but lots of restaurants around. Breakfast was decent. Convenient location to the Colosseum, and the train station, but LOTS of street noise.

This hotel is very close to Roma Termini. We found it fairly easy to walk to places such as The Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps and Parthenon. Our room was spacious and quiet, and featured a very comfortable king sized bed. The breakfast was very plentiful. We enjoyed our stay here and would recommend this hotel.

Gilberti Art Hotel was great to stay at. Very convenient to public transportation and walkable to many places . Breakfast was great at the hotel (lots of choices) staff was great as well . I will definitely go back to Gioberti Art Hotel .

The room was nice. It was very clean and well appointed. The bathroom was huge! The staff was accommodating. We requested extra pillows and coffee set up and it was all delivered promptly. The property was conveniently located near the train station. The area is ok and not as clean and touristy as the area we stayed near the Trevi fountain at the start of our trip. But this was a great value for our in transit stay. The hotel was lovely and clean! It’s a quick two block walk from the Roma Train Terminal which made it very convenient. There are restaurants nearby with about a two block walking radius.

Stay away from this hotel. It is very dated not like the pictures shown. Stayed 5 nights and we were lucky if we got a few hours of sleep each night. Outside the hotel there are a lot of homeless individuals and drug addicts out all hours of the night screaming and fighting.

The location was excellent for being close to the train station and still within walking distance of major attractions (25 min to each). However being close to the train station there was a fair amount of street people which made going out at night not ideal. The room was large and comfortable. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The air conditioning was not sufficient for the weather. Had to use a fan to help circulate what was being generated. The breakfast was just okay - very simple and basic.
