Centurion Hotel Grand Akasaka

Location was good. Faculty is old and has a smell. We stayed in the vintage building.

Train station, many restaurants, convenience stores (e.g. 7-11), all within a few minutes easy walk. Pedestrian-friendly streets. Secure Wi-Fi with room-specific SSID. Good air conditioning, though I didn't see the control for it at first. Operable window for fresh air if you like. Quiet room (with window closed).

Not bad

The staff is the best part of this hotel. Extremely nice and welcoming. The hotel offers a great service/value for the price range. And location is optimal.

Property was clean and smart. Very relaxing environment.

There was no breakfast included. The room is okay but a lot of dust behind the curtain. Dryer was very dirty (no filter). However the staffs were very helpful.

Very friendly staff

We were extremely disappointed by this hotel and do not recommend it. We received a notice several days ahead of the booking requesting confirmation of our arrival and booking, which we replied to, although it was odd to receive. We checked in and paid upon arrival, and went to our room. While the lobby was eclectic, and the elevator very small, by the time we reached our room we realized that this hotel listing had overstated its quality and cleanliness on the hotels.com platform. Our room was dirty, the walls damaged, furniture and carpet old and worn out. The room was very small, and the bed was not something we felt comfortable using. I didn't even enter the bathroom. My wife and I made the decision to check-out immediately. While the staff was courteous, we were disappointed with this hotel selection and would not recommend it at all. We booked at another nearby hotel and it lived up to our expectations. We are now in the process of requesting a refund for our 20 minute stay.

Great location to stay, and staff were really helpful. We stayed ‘across the road’ from the main hotel as property is spread across 2 buildings. Room was a bit cosy for 3 people, but OK for a just a few nights (and we knew that would likely be the case). Small bathroom and fridge didn’t fit a lot. Overall though, great area with lots of restaurants and shops, and real handy to a subway station.

Good experience overall

The location of this hotel is outstanding—one of the best areas in Tokyo. The neighborhood is very safe, convenient, and provides easy access to many of the city's major attractions, restaurants, and transportation options. The staff were exceptionally helpful, courteous, and professional throughout our stay. They were always willing to assist and made us feel welcome. The only drawback was the size of the rooms, which are quite small. Initially, the room was too cramped for me and my son, so we had to change to a larger room. Fortunately, the staff handled the room change efficiently and made the process very easy. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay. The excellent location and outstanding service more than compensated for the small room size, and I would gladly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Tokyo.

Super location next to the metro Asakusa-Mitsuke

Staff was terrible. We got bait and switch with the family room. With all our family listed, we were told kids don't count, so pay up for more beds. BEWARE!

Clean room great location and helpful staff

This was a great hotel. Its best feature is the location - easy access to 5 different metro lines and in a busy, safe, and active area with plenty of food options. The staff were excellent and always helpful. Be ready for the very small rooms, I think this will be the same for all hotels in Tokyo in this price range. We wanted to get a larger King room for my wife and I to share, but we determined that we could each get our own smaller single room (standard double?) for only a few hundred $$ more (over 7 days total), and we were much happier with the extra space and flexibility. The standard double room is like a cruise ship room - 2 people could squeeze in but there is not a lot of extra room for your luggage. The bed is up against the wall or window on 3 sides, the TV was in front of part of the window - blocking the view. There is a small refrigerator in a cabinet / desk combo area. One of our rooms had a smart TV, one room had an older TV with only 10 channels.
