First and foremost, THE VIEW! Breathtaking scenes of Mt. Fuji and the surrounding lake and mountains are worth staying here.
Second, the room was ample, comfortable, and nicely equipped. Great value, especially when compared to hotels in larger cities of Japan.
The onsen and grounds are nice and the staff are courteous, professional and efficient.
Less impressive was the dinner and we missed breakfast because last entry is 30 minutes before service ends, so we were no longer able to get a table.
Overall, we greatly enjoyed our stay and would likely return. A plus for us is that is was a little off the area overcrowded by tourists and public transportation.

The view was absolutely outstanding. The staff are friendly, from the shuttle driver to the front desk staff to the wait staff - highly recommend including breakfast in your booking. The rooms however are outdated but when you have a hotel onsen and that mountain view, you can't ask for anything else. Walking distance to 7-11 and for a walk around the Lake.
