The hotel is strategically located as it’s near the Sanjo and Kyoto City Hall metro stations (within 5-10 mins of walking). There are lot of restaurants just few steps away from the hotel and also 7 Eleven is only several steps outside the hotel. The hotel itself is clean and there is no complaint about it.

We loved our stay! We got 7-11 coffee and miscellaneous every morning and ate it in the hotel sitting area - there were lots of tables. We were very close to the metro to get to further areas like the Bamboo Forest, etc. and had many things to do within walking distance from our hotel like the Gion district, Pontocho Alley, nighttime shopping, dining, etc. The room was a perfect size and the price allowed our teenage kids to have their own room. WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND this hotel!

Designated smoking area right in front of the hotel lobby was disappointing. It permeated into the lobby. Tatami mats weren't fully vacuumed. Nail clippings let over. Laundry facility on site was nice. Front desk staff were very helpful. Location was great though. Next to bus and subway lines along with other sites.

No real amenities. Japanese room made you sleep on the floor like you did in kindergarten and that should probably be made more clear than the descriptions. Staff did help us to get single hotel room that had beds, which was very nice.

I originally wanted to book Hilton for location, but this hotel is literally across the street and much more affordable. While the bathroom was a little weird, think cruise ship bathroom, it was more than comfortable for us. You cannot beat the location. Literally in the middle of the shopping district surrounding Nishtki market. Would definitely stay here again. The Smart Coffee cafe around corner is a great place to start your day.

Property was in a convenient location - with a taxi stand and bus stop right outside the door. Rooms were clean. Our only issue was we had asked ahead of time of the rooms were wheelchair accessible and had been told "wheelchair users had comfortably used them before but there was a small step into the bathroom". The 'small step' was actually a 1 foot (30 cm) large step making the room completely inaccessible and left us scrambling to find accommodations for half of our party. It felt like the hotel was not as transparent as they should have been. We would have booked elsewhere had they responded more accurately about the accessibility of the room.
