Mama Shelter Luxembourg

Mama Shelter is conveniently located in Kirchberg, close to the tramway line. The hotel is very modern and cosy, the rooms are comfortable and generous. The restaurant and bar as well as the bakery are all good with a tasty modern and fun atmosphere. We stayed in 2 connecting rooms with our 2 daughters. Our kids just loved the fun and cool vibe of this wonderful and not too expensive hotel. We will be back for sure !

Amazing luxurious stay in this cool and quirky hotel. Very easily reachable by tram from the train station and to the city centre. Delicious bakery on site of the hotel and amazing food in the restaurant. Very helpful and friendly staff. Lovely comfortable bed and amenities, would definitely recommend

My family and I had a nice stay at Mama shelter. It was a quick walk and even quicker tram ride from the Pfaffenthan-kirchberg train stop. The hotel workers were friendly and held our bags until we were able to check in. They gave us ideas about things to do in the area as well as some restaurants. We ended up getting some pastries at the Mama bakery downstairs and they was fabulous! We slept well in a quiet room with two queen size beds. It was really nice to have a large room available in Europe! The room was clean and unique. We would stay again.

Amazing place

Went to Luxembourg to stay away from the craziness of the New Year’s Eve – hence I wanted to have a quiet moment to end the year. Guess what -- it was not sadly. There was a night club-like loud event on the roof top with loud heavy metal music until 3am because it was a New Year’s Eve. This was clearly audible from my room. The fact that it had a nice room design and comfortable bedding, it had a very poor sound proof. The reception area is very small despite the fact the hotel has huge space for a restaurant and a roof top terrace (where there was a loud event!). The reception area only had one huge table and a small table with lots of chairs. The reception area can be packed like crazy if its busy. Worst sleep and I would not come back to this place again. Not recommended for everyone. Avoid at any cost.

Clean, easy connection to free public transport. Disappointed roof bar not open. Nothing on hotel website when booking to say bar is seasonal. Even In pre- arrival email it gave bar opening times as if roof bar would be open during stay. No space in ground floor bar for relaxing seat with drink, only at a food table or bar stool. During stay left for neighbouring hotel for evening drinks. Mini bar snacks sign says to go to floor 1 vending machine s, they were not operating. Informed to go to neighbouring hotel. Communication on website, pre arrival emails and signage needs to improve.

Love my stay here. The staff was super friendly and the evening ambiance was perfect for my birthday. They had a pretty cool DJ. The breakfast bar was amazing!!

Very clean and fresh. Modern without detracting from the actual hotel function. Rooms and bar etc seemingly lit by 20w bulbs, for people with any sight problems its like a living trip hazard test. Breakfast was good, the pizza was good. Staff work hard and do a good job. Would be happy to return here again. The free tram to most locations is excellent and a 4 min walk from the hotel. 15 minutes from the airport so easy to reach.

The room is huge, and the bed is very comfortable - a good size too. Well located, and not too busy over the weekend although the bar downstairs is extremely popular, so you may hear some music playing late at night; this didn't bother me as I am normally up late but light sleepers should be mindful of this. The only downside is that the room was not clean. I found pieces of food all over the floor and had to contact the reception twice before someone came to hoover. I wish there had been a better response, or that it didn't happen in the first place, but that was the only problem of my trip.

The location was great short walk to old town, hotel was great as well clean and good service.

What quirky hotel, we had a fantastic time staying and everyone wad helpful and friendly.
