Beserah is a beach town located in the state of Pahang, 7 kilometers from Kuantan. The fishing village of Beserah is famous for shellcraft items, batik and crafts made from coconuts. To the Kuantan locals, Beserah is one of the villages where fresh fish and sea catches, grilled fish and seafood, mee chalong and freshly cooked local seafood crackers like the keropok lekor can be obtained. Beserah is a village located between Beserah Hill and Batu Hitam area.
According to an old tale, long ago there was a couple from Kuantan facing the death of their son. Since they were very sad, they decided to leave Kampung Teruntum and moved to a new settlement in an area north of Kampung Teruntum. At the new settlement, the area was attacked by a disease known as “blight”. All residents in the area were planning to relocate elsewhere. However, the couple asked them to be patient and submit to the God’s will. The act of devoted and become surrender with hope directed to the Almighty is termed as “berserah” – a Malay word. Referring to this story is how ‘Beserah’ got its name.

By Plane
There are flights to Kuantan provided by Malaysia Airlines and Firefly. From the airport, guests may hail up a taxi to Beserah.
By Car
People driving from Kuala Lumpur may drive through the East Coast Expressway (LPT) exiting at Gambang exit before continuing the journey towards Beserah.
By Bus
The express bus terminal is located at Bandar Indera Mahkota. Among the available express bus services are Transnasional, KKKL, Mutiara Express, Sani Express and many more. From the bus terminal, guests may hail a taxi to reach Beserah.
