Kota Damansara is a township located in Petaling Jaya. It is a township spread across 4,000 acre (16 km²) of land and bordered in the west by the Sungai Buloh Industrial Park, in the south by the Tropicana Golf and Country Club and on the south-east by Bandar Utama Damansara. It is also a state seat constituency which is situated between Subang and Petaling Jaya. The land is owned by the Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS) and is being jointly developed through privatisation, joint ventures, and by PKNS itself. The development of Kota Damansara first began in 1992 and was initially undertaken solely by PKNS. As at end of 2005, the estimated population of Kota Damansara was 300,000 and rising as well as other amenities include the Selangor Polo Country Club, Seri Selangor Golf Course, three primary and secondary schools and one smart private school (Sri KDU), SEGi university college and Tropicana Medical Centre and the International University College of Technology Twintech (IUCTT). Notable landmarks located near the constituency are the Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport and the Rubber Research Institute of Malaysia.

There are various road options to reach Kota Damansara from Kuala Lumpur city centre such as by using North-South highway, Damansara and Syed Putra road.which takes approximately around 25 minutes depends on traffic.On the other hand, from Kuala Lumpur International Airport, tourists can access Kota Damansara via ELITE that consume around 45 minutes.

KidZania

Chocolate Museum

This museum is located at Kota Damansara and only 15 minutes away from Damansara Utama. There is a nice presentation of cocoa’s journey through the ages once you enter the museum starting with the Olmec tribe in Mexico who were the first to discover the uses and benefits of cacao seeds. The Aztecs and the Mayans are known to make chocolate drink with a frothy top made by pouring from one bowl to another at height. This museum is also attached to an actual chocolate factory known as DR Group Holdings Sdn Bhd which was founded by Dato’ Dahlan Rashid. The business makes two of its own brands, Danson and Fidani and also manufactures chocolate products under contract for leading international brands. The visiting hours for this museum are from 10am to 5pm every day.
