About Pangkor Laut Island

Pangkor Laut Island is one of the trio sub-islands that together formed the Pangkor Island; whereby Pangkor Island is the main island and the other two sub-islands are Giam Island and Mentangor Island. Pangkor Laut Island is well known for its idyllic, private pristine beach set along the Straits of Malacca, three miles off the West Coast of Malaysia. Only a fraction of Pangkor Laut Island’s 300-acre lands have been developed. It is not only home to the world’s premier resort but also to variety of wildlife.

How to Get There

By Plane

Pangkor Island has its own airport but the only airliner that flies between Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) and Pangkor Island Airport is Berjaya Air. There are flights to Ipoh provided by Malaysia Airlines, Malindo Air, Firefly and Air Asia. From the Ipoh airport, guests may hail up a taxi to Lumut jetty. Boat or ferry services to Pangkor Laut Island are available at the Lumut jetty.

By Car

People driving from Kuala Lumpur may drive through the North South Expressway (PLUS) exiting at either Bidor, Tapah or Gopeng exit before continuing the journey towards the Lumut jetty. There is a secure car park at the Lumut jetty. Boat or ferry services to Pangkor Laut Island are available at the Lumut jetty.

By Bus
