Hotels in Perindustrian Nilai

Perindustrian Nilai is an industrial park located in the town of Nilai, state of Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia. It is approximately 4 kilometres away from Nilai and 25 kilometres from the state capital, Seremban. The park was built as a part of the development efforts in Nilai that have seen a lot of works ongoing to bring life to the place, considering the town’s close proximity to the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA). Initially, a lot of factory buildings have been constructed in the area to attract companies and manufacturers to bring their businesses here. However, the response is not that good, hence a lot of factory buildings are left empty and unfilled. In order to fully utilize the vacant buildings, the park was then leased for use as a warehouse for clothing, electrical appliances, antiques and toys. Nowadays, the area is much more popular due to its abundance of choice of clothes and fabrics that can be purchased for festive seasons, being known as Nilai 3 and Nilai 1 among the locals. The reputation is building up to a level that almost tops Tangkak’s reputation as the city of fabric, with an advantage being that it is much closer to Kuala Lumpur too.

How to Get There

By Car

People driving from Kuala Lumpur may drive through the North-South Expressway (PLUS) exiting at Nilai exit before continuing the journey towards Perindustrian Nilai. The journey could take up around one hour depending on the current traffic situation.

By Train

From Kuala Lumpur International Airport, visitors can catch the Express Rail Link (ERL) train which goes to KL Sentral/Bandar Tasik Putrajaya/Cyberjaya/Salak Tinggi/KLIA route. There, one can board the Keretapi Tanah Melayu (KTM) southbound coach and stop by the Nilai station before opting for public transportation to go around the area.

By Bus

The nearest express bus terminal is located at Terminal One, Seremban. Take the trip directly to Seremban from Terminal Bersepadu Selatan (TBS) terminal using express bus services such as Sanwa Tours, KPB Express and Kesatuan Express. From here, hop on a local route bus to Perindustrian Nilai.

Melati Hill Trail

Melati Hill Trail is a picturesque hill which is located near the Nilai town and Perindustrian Nilai. It is only ten kilometres away from town. It is one of the hiking areas that can be found in the central region in addition to the Broga Hill, nonetheless it was less popular, which could be good if one does not prefer an overcrowded place. The journey to the top would take around 20 to 30 minutes, which is not as challenging as the Broga Hill, but never underestimate – it does not mean that the experience is not one that lacked of challenge. The view at the top is mesmerizing, albeit not a 360 degrees view of the Nilai town, but still worthy to snap some photos for remembrance.

Masjid Lama Nilai

This mosque is located Jalan Besar, Pekan Nilai Lama which can be found almost immediately upon entering Nilai town. The history of the mosque can be traced back till 1928, with the traces of Malay traditional design that is prominent on the mosque building. The classical three-tier pyramid shape of the roof signifies the design even further, which is also an important characteristic of a Malay traditional architecture that can be seen on a lot of similarly old mosques. This mosque has withstand the test of time with a lot of repairs and maintenance works have been done to preserve the look and condition of the building. Nonetheless the size is much smaller, probably due to the smaller population of the town back then.
