Teluk Bahang is a quiet little fishing village town in Southwest Penang Island District. The name Teluk Bahang means the “Bay of Heat Wave”, referring to the high temperature of the sea breeze coming in to shore. Its beach is idyllic with white, fine sand and cool water. However, it is not suitable to swim at the sea due to the presence of jellyfishes.
How to Get There
By Plane
There are flights to Penang provided by Malaysia Airlines, Firefly and Air Asia. From the Bayan Lepas airport, guests may hail a taxi to reach Teluk Bahang.
By Car
People driving from Kuala Lumpur may drive through the North South Expressway (PLUS) and head towards the Penang Bridge that connects the mainland to the Penang Island. Since 2014, the Penang Second Bridge has been opened too. Upon exiting either the Penang Bridge or the Penang Second Bridge, leading signboards shall assist in getting to Teluk Bahang.
By Bus
The express bus terminal is located at Sungai Nibong. Among the available express bus services are Transnasional, Fivestars, PLUSLiner, Nice Express, Mutiara Express and many more. From the bus terminal, guests may hail a taxi to reach Teluk Bahang.
By Train
Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) serves a daily route to Butterworth from Kuala Lumpur. From the Butterworth train station, guests may hail a taxi to reach Teluk Bahang.

Teluk Bahang Dam
The Teluk Bahang Dam is the biggest dam on Penang Island that offers splendid views all the way to the sea. This dam also being the only dam in Malaysia built within a few kilometres from the sea.

Located about 10 minutes from the Teluk Bahang Dam, the farm offers a durian buffet and a variety of tropical fruits during the local fruit and durian season in between May until August.
