The visitors can also know the history of Tunku Abdul Rahman who is the first prime minister of Malaysia and a prince of Kedah royal family. This building is made of wood and from the outside, this museum is painted in yellow. However, the visitors have to take notes that they have to take their shoe to go inside the museum. Besides that, they can only take pictures outside the museum. The journey from the hotel to Kedah Royal Museum takes about 10 minutes of driving.

Zahir State Mosque - Zahir State Mosque was built in the year 1912 and now it is one of the oldest mosques in Malaysia. It is also recognised as one of the most beautiful mosques in the world. This mosque has Moorish traditional architecture and also some Malaysian, Indian and Middle Eastern design. They have five black-coloured domes which symbolize the five pillars of Islam. Sultan Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah Gallery - Before it was turned as a gallery, it was used as a high court building. Then, the court has transferred to Suka Menanti Street. Sultan Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah Gallery was opened to the public in 2007. The architecture of this building is Roman architecture. The visitors can increase their knowledge by learning the history of Kedah Sultan Abdul Halim ibni Almarhum Sultan Badlishah. They can see some collections, equipment, photos, jewellery and documents that were showcased by the gallery. This gallery opens on Sunday to Thursday from 10 am until 5 pm. The distance between the gallery and the hotel is 3.98 km. The journey from the AST hotel to Sultan Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah gallery takes about 11 minutes of driving.
