1) During the check in, I was the first at the counter. There were no receptionist at the counter. When the receptionist came out, instead of greeted us, we were not greeted with a smile or any welcome wish. But she acknowledged a guy which she is known (this guy obviously cut queue). I had to wait for 10 minutes till they settled. 2) The room where is stayed is about 500metres to the guard house. no vehicle is allowed in the vicinity of the Resort. We opt for rented a bike but had to park near the guardhouse. For me, when you are on a businesses trip, it is a troublesome for us as we had to walk out and walk in. 3) Security guards are very impolite. Most time when we come back with the bike, we were stopped and harshly they commanded where we are going and said no bikes allowed. we are guess of the hotel. you can treat the tourist better than you treat local guest.
Great hospitality and service!
Stayed in deluxe chalet, full board. - Chalet was big enough but a bit old and tired. - Bedbugs. I got bitten by bedbugs badly at both legs. Hotel must clean and disinfect the beds. - Lunch buffets' options are boring and not worth the price paid. Dinner buffets are much better. - Location is good. Shuttle buses service between resort and Kampung Tekek could be improved. - Restaurant staffs and receptionists are very helpful. - Dive centre staffs are very informative and helpful. - Overall a good trip..
Food nice, accommodation great and friendly staff at restaurants but a little slack when my room not ready until afternoon and I request to clean up room, it is not be done when I came back.
Everything was great here
Need to upgrade the old chalet
The rooms and services are not too bad, but they are quite scattered around the hotel area. Hotel food are so so. Quite far from the town so it isn't too accessible to more food and shops (around 5-10 minutes walk to reach the entrance gate from the hotel lobby, then you can either choose to walk another 15 - 20 minutes across the hill to reach the town or take taxi which cost around RM15 one way).
the resort was quite ok but I having problem with transportation over there. you cannot rent a motorbike and bring inside the resort. you must either walk to main gate or grab a shuttle if you lucky enough and my room is quite far from pool and dining place. if you bring a baby pls consider room near with restaurant nelayan.
Scenery is beautiful. Got coaster ride from Ferry terminal to resort, and vice versa. So convenient. This is my 4th time here. Pool is great, beach is walking distance only. Good
It s a nice place for relaxing. I also enjoy playing tennis.

Could do with some tlc - but we loved it.
Visited in August with family group. There were 7 of us needing 4 rooms and we were all put in a "chalet" style unit together which was great. 2 adjoining rooms downstairs and the same upstairs. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable but a little worn. Could do with some maintenance and updates. The location, beach, water, snorkelling, fish and views are beautiful. Food was great. Breakfast buffet was very impressive with lots of options. Lunches could be ordered from the menu and you could sit in the restaurant or have it packed in a take away box to take to the beach. Pizzas were very good. Even had packed sandwiches available at the pool which were cheap and tasty. Drinks were very reasonable prices. Fresh juices were great. Not loads to do at the resort, tennis was a little worn out, kayaks, bikes & snorkels for hire and a games room. All were an extra cost. Just outside the gate are a couple of restaurants. We went to one of the them several times and the food was excellent and very cheap. Only issue with this place is the litter. Was very sad to see so much of it. Everywhere you look there are cigarette buts. There are rubbish bins around but people do not seem to be emptying them enough and the litter on the ground is not being picked up by any of the staff. I spoke to the Manager regarding the litter in one area and immediately staff were called to tidy up. It made such a big difference and if they made an effort to have a big tidy up the whole appearance of resort would improve. It is especially disappointing when the island is supposed to be a Marine Park and conservation area.

Best all-inclusive resort for your stay
wide varieties of room available for all your needs from ardent diving enthusiasts who want to explore Pulau Ringgis right in front of Berjaya's own private beach, to families who want to have a great time at their own swimming pool and children slides, or just to have a laid back experience relaxing at their in house massage and spa, with a pina colada and the sunset in the background. The traditional looking wooden houses pack a punch when you open the room door to see what Berjaya provides. The rooms are well air-conditioned and all amenities are provided from hair dryers to toiletries to sufficient powerpoint points. The beds are comfortable and provided me with good rest during my trip, letting feel refreshed early in the morning for a power packed breakfast at 7am and an exciting day ahead. After a long day, all you want to do is just soak in the bathtub and let the tensed muscles dissolve in the warm water. I am very pleased with the huge array of food available at Berjaya. From my favourite Roti Channai (or roti prata/paratha, in certain places), to spaghetti, or for the more health conscious; daily greens of the day and tropical fruits. We even took a further walk down the beach to experience their very own authentic Thai Restaurant which served delicious food. The tom yum soup though lacking a bit of coconut milk, was tantalising to the tongue and enriching to the palette. The green curry was surprisingly great. i felt it would suit people who don't really take spicy stuff. i'm well trained for spicy where i come from. it was, however, missing eggplant/brinjal, a traditional ingredient in Thai Green Curry. There's so much to choose from but I would personally recommend the Red Ruby dessert - Heaven down on Earth, no second thoughts about it.

good value of money
We stayed 4 nights in this hotel and we totally satisfied. Only one thing disappointed me is our room inside... need renovation. Also when we arrived it was about 10am and lady on reception said we can't check in before 2pm... well, after 2 hours waiting my husband asked another receptionist if we can check in and she just gave us key without any problem.

Quite run-down, very poor food
We booked the Berjaya Tioman resort for a one week family holiday which centred around diving at a local centre in Tekek. For about £1,000 for two interconnecting rooms for six nights you do not expect 5 star luxury but you do expect the basic amenities to be in working order. We had quite a few problems (shower-hose came off, safe did not work, no power sockets etc) and asked to be moved to a new room which was better. The most disappointing thing was the food which was very poor - breakfast buffet was truly awful and although we had the inclusive dinner package after the first night we went out to Tekek to eat on the street which was great and very inexpensive. The pool is ok but not huge for the resort size and the beachside bar is only open 5-11pm (happy hour until 8pm). It is not expensive but the drinks list is limited and not very good. The location on the beach is very nice and you can swim or canoe over to Renggis island to go snorkelling which is great. Evidently large numbers of locals come out to Tioman for the weekend from Johor etc so on these days it is very packed and the buffet is chaos.

Hotel Facilities
The Hotel are overpriced by it's facilities, the room are dirty, toilet need serious refurbish. Water pressure are low, wall tile cracking. No buggy service unless check in check out. Buggy has to pay RM80/ hours. Ferry transport are out of maintain. Serious sandfly issues on their beach. I am sorry to said 5 star prices with 3 stars service and 2 stars facilities.
