Tioman Island is at Rompin, Pahang, Malaysia. It is a located 32 kilometer off the east coast of Pahang. This island is less inhabited and the ocean is surrounded with coral reefs, which has made this island a popular spot for scuba diving. How to Get There

This island is operated mostly by ferries to get there in and out. The ferries service is operated at Malaysia mainland. Although this island is part of Pahang, the ferries service is accessible at mainland Johor of the coastal town of Mersing.

There is also propeller plane service from the Changi Airport in Singapore to Tioman Island by itself and it is operated by Berjaya Air. The Systematic Aviation Services operating the route starting from the Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport, Subang, Selangor. The journey would take up to 1 hour and 15 minutes from the airport to Tioman Island.

Juara

This place is known for its quiet beach especially during off season, when nobody there. There is a remote village spread back from the track which goes to the coast. This place is separated into 2 beaches by a small hill, which is said to be the origin of Tioman. These beaches are perfect for those who are seeking into privacy and tranquility of the environment. A slightly remote but definitely a better experience.

Juara Turtle Project

This place is open for their visitors during the day. It is a place for conservation of the sea turtles on sustaining their living and to protect their habitat. This place is privately funded and would be charge for entrance fee upon entering the premise. You can have a hands-on experience when you can see how the turtles hatch their eggs and how to preserve them.

Asah Waterfalls

This waterfalls is one of the many in Tioman. The waterfalls can be accessed from Kampung Asah or by trekking the nearby village called Kampung Mukut.

The most popular activities in Tioman Island is, scuba diving and snorkeling. This activity is easily accessible within the island area. Most of villages have dive shops around. You can choose whether to taking up scuba diving courses or just to have fun with the snorkeling around the diving area. Snorkeling area are found at Paya, Tekek, Air Batang and Salang.
