Wonderful meals at the Japanese restaurant in Grand Lexis.
The Japanese restaurant is a revelation! Fresh sashimi, delicious maki and sukiyaki plus delightful starters. Set meals available. If I had my way, I would have eaten every meal in this restaurant while staying in this hotel. Charming Japanese dolls add to the ambience. KUDOS to the chef!

Great site for our company's team building event
We just had our company's team-building event at the resort and we had a fantastic time. The organization was smooth and well planned, the rafting and team-building events went perfectly and the team had a brilliant time. The rooms are large and well planned, the resort and beach are perfect for a nice two day escape from the city. The staff were very helpful and looked after us very well.

Overall good, with room for improvement
We stayed here for the weekend as the husband was attending a conference and stayed in the Garden Pool Villa. What I liked: -Quick check in service. The whole checking in took 10 minutes which was good, considering how many people complained about the long time it took to check in. - The buggy service which drove us from the hotel lobby to the room. The drivers were prompt and pleasant and there was hardly any waiting time despite the huge influx of people staying there. - The private pool, particularly enjoyed the privacy. - The room was clean & very spacious for two people (the room can fit 4 easily). The bathroom was also very large. The photos of the rooms on their website was what we got when we stayed here. - Hotel located near a beach, but you still need a car to get around. - The things in the mini bar were complementary. - Room had helpful amenities, like robes and extra swimming towels. What can be improved - The bed linens and our robes were a bit worn out and had holes in them. - The staff took quite some time to clear the tables at breakfast. Came down at 8 to find that there were no free tables and cutlery and plates were still pilled all over the place. - The hotel charges for water and ice. This was surprising as I've stayed in 3 star hotels which gave water/ice for free. Also there were no water fountains around to refill water if needed. Overall, I enjoyed my stay here. Would consider coming back again and staying if the necessary improvements were made.

Room a bit dated and wet feeling
Had two nights stay over the weekend. Staff was friendly and nice. May due to the room was above the sea so having humid feeling in the room not feeling great. The room was spacious enough to accommodate six pax of people. Had own private swimming pool too and enjoyed my swim there, not bad. However the breakfast was not good, many flies around if sit outdoor and the food quality was not up to expectations, the food does not fill up in time and mostly the tray was empty or either food was cold. Not recommended for the breakfast and does not worth the price paid. Location nearby have lots of nice restaurant and food searchable. Overall the stay was not up to expectations with the price paid. Many activities will need to pay for it even the bicycle in which other resorts offer for free of charge.

Memorable Visit. Staff were wonderful. Our first trip to Malaysia.
We stayed for 6 nights in May and really enjoyed the experience. The Manager, Stephen, welcomed us personally and spent time with us every day to make sure everything was going well. He arranged local trips (Malaka, Museum) for us and introduced us to key staff members (Kuma, Sathiya) who took care to make our stay a very memorable one. We were upgraded to a beautiful water chalet with views of the Malacca Straits. The room was perfect - quiet, private small pool, comfortable beds, clean, instant Wi-Fi, quiet ac etc. We were treated like royalty in the Japanese restaurant both times by the 2 chefs (Hasahar & Hosaini). The Manager and staff really know the meaning of quality service!
