Blue Lagoon Beach is yet another recognized beachside spot offerings that could be found 17 kilometers south of Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan, being closely situated to the Si Rusa area. It is accessible from the state capital of Seremban via Seremban – Port Dickson Highway / E29 with driving time of 40 minutes or less. Being relatively secluded but well renowned, this beach is contained within the bay which is just before Cape Rachado, easily accessible by road with a car despite being covered in thick vegetation from the surrounding foothills.
Due to its geographical situation which is close to the Tanjung Tuan Forest Reserve, wildlife surroundings are not uncommon, with migratory birds, squirrels and monkeys regularly seen here. As it is covered by the bay, the beach is protected from strong tides and currents, making its waters typically calm and shallow. This is a perfect setup for bonding activities with family and friends such as picnicking, beach volleyball, Frisbee or even building sandcastles without much worry of them being washed away by sea.
Because of this, Blue Lagoon Beach gives off a certain special feeling of tranquil and at ease with nature, which is hardly found even in nearby Port Dickson beaches. Nearby the beach, there are shops selling souvenirs such as keychains, stationaries, beach wears, toys as well as a small food court selling food and drinks. There are also several other resorts built in close proximities to Blue Lagoon Beach to take advantage of its serene surroundings, as well as to offer a place for accommodation after a long day at the beach. It is advised that booking are done in advance especially during holiday time as the area is also affected by Port Dickson’s popularity, causing it to be visited in huge numbers in peak seasons.
People driving from Kuala Lumpur may drive through the North-South Expressway (PLUS) exiting at Port Dickson exit before continuing the journey towards Blue Lagoon Beach. The journey could take up around one hour depending on the current traffic situation.
The nearest express bus terminal is located at Terminal One, Seremban. Take the trip directly to Seremban from Terminal Bersepadu Selatan (TBS) terminal using express bus services such as Sanwa Tours, KPB Express and Kesatuan Express. From here, hop on a local route bus to Port Dickson before making a stop at Blue Lagoon Beach.
