Komuniti Ajil University is located at Kuala Berang road at Ajil town. It was opened and started its operation in 2016 providing education in the different field of skills. State Committee for Education, Science, Technology and Special Functions, Ghazali Taib said the state government offers courses such as culinary, hospitality or manufacturing for students who wish to pursue their studies at the university. In addition, the government is progressively developing the skills training institutions.

This university also helps around 2,500 SPM and STPM students who graduate from Dun Ajil every year to pursue their interest in further their studies in courses available. Besides that, the establishment of a skill-based college is important for the development of Bandar Baharu Ajil, which is now in the midst of its construction work. From Kuala Lumpur city centre, it takes around 6 hours to reach Komuniti Ajil University by using Segamat-Kuantan highway.

By Plane

There are flights daily from around the states of Malaysia to Sultan Mahmud Airport in Kuala Terengganu. Once you reach the airport, you can take a taxi or rent a car to Komuniti Ajil University by using Kuala Berang road for another 45 minutes.

Kenyir Elephant Conservation Village (KECV)

Built-in 2012 on a 256-hectare site, this centre has been a notable attraction in the area of Lake Kenyir. Since its opening, it has been a natural forest habitat that houses elephant orphans. One of the objectives of KECV is to provide a sanctuary and a home for rescued elephants whose life in the wild and in danger many of which are a loss of habitat and abused by people. Elephants are one of the animals that are nearly extinct because of these reasons. They are nurtured in this reserved forest which located in the middle of the Telemong river where they can roam free within the big area and guarded with electrical fences to keep the elephant from going out and keep another animal from coming in. Besides conserving elephants, this village has been a tourist attraction for the past years and increase employment for local people. Visitors are welcomed to feed the elephants by buying a bucket of sugar cane for RM5. No outside food is allowed for visitors or to feed the elephants. Lasir Waterfall

Lasir Waterfall is one of the highest waterfalls in Malaysia, cascading down a decline of about 500 feet or 150 metres from the base. It is accessible by a 30-minute boat ride to the south of Pengkalan Gawi Jetty and visitors can take a boat ride south of the Gawi Jetty for half an hour to reach the waterfall. Besides that, it is one of the popular spots for picnic and jungle trekking. It is surrounded by the rainforest and shaded by the leafy green canopy of the surrounding tropical rainforest. There are also tracks and walkways built for visitors to climb up to the top to watch the spectacular views of sunrise and sunset.
