great location! nice and cozy for the not so privileged folks like me!
Stayed here on May 2016. Great location! Its got a nice cottage feels to it. The area is great, got a mini lake/pond at the balcony at the back, where large monitor lizards lives. A few tumbling's and your in the beach. A few minute walks and your in the surfing part of the beach. Nice 4 posters bed, not a musty smell even though the room/cottage looks old. There a mini fridge, 32in LCD that I connected an HDMI for a media player. We bought drinks and drank in the balcony on our last night.

Cherating Fiesta
Is a simple and quite resort must be due to Ramadhan month. The resort is carpeted with greens, although the weathet was hot but the greens cooled down the tempreture. We stayed at tent which cost RM70 per night. Tents are located at another site nearer to Cherating beach, much lesser greens (way much lesser!), it was burning HOT! But I think the design of tents is really good, after we turned on the fan, our tent cooled down a lot within 30mins. But we think is better to check in at 4pm, otherwise is kind of hard to stay in the tent from 12pm till 4pm. The tents are sharing communal bathrooms and toilets, cleanliness is the word for it 😊 The landscaping is really nice, tents are built around the pond. Too bad the drainage of the pond is not well done, lots of fungus on the surface and it looked kind of scary. We were jokingly saying if any of our friend fell in the pond, no one will dare to jump in for a rescue 😅 The beach is less then 5mins walk. Very windy. Low tide starts at 5pm till the next morning. This beach is not a spot to see sunrise from sea level, so if you are expecting to see sunrise like me, you will be dissapointed 😁 Due to Ramadhan month, many shops were closed. So the beach and surroundings are quiet, choices of food are not many too. But if you do enjoy quietness, this is the right time 😊 just drive out to Kemaman or Kuantan to hunt for food which was what we did. By the way, do watch out mosquitoes or sand fly by the beach when early morning. Overall, it was a good experience :)

Peaceful bliss, spectacular luxury, service, and comfort at a great price
Stayed: Tanjung Beach Chalet (part of Tanjun Inn, just on the beach and not in the luxurious gardens) Travel: Solo female Duration: 1 week (wish I had time for more) As I opened my double doors to private patio facing the ocean, then my double windows facing the same direction, laid in bed and took a nap falling asleep to the soft sound of the water lapping on the shallow beach and the soft breeze through my chalet... I knew I was in heaven. Ultimate comfort and luxury for a phenomenal price, a very attentive owner and staff, a fully stocked and comfortable library with WiFi available at the inn, beautiful gardens to walk through, chalets available right on the beach with private lounge chairs on grass, hot showers and exceptionally comfortable bedsheets and pillows with a high thread count, stone and marble bathroom, and safety and comfort directly on the beach, Tanjung offers true luxury in Cherating. If comfort, peace & quiet, unbeatable location in the heart of Cherating while it still being quiet, and exceptional staff and facilities are what you are looking for, then Tanjung Beach is what you want.

Lovely Tent
Stay here for short vacation during year end of 2016. Four of us decided to stay at the Tent, and surprisingly happy with our decision...The tent have yet complete (half of the tents still under construction), we have the lake at the back of the tent and Beach just around 50 meter in front of us. Toilet can be better. Happy to stay here for budget short vacation.

Nice pond and a thievish personal/owner
We were robbed while taking breakfast, maybe 100 usd in total, IT-gadgets left messy returned on other spots not where we left them. They took money from 3 different wallets in two valutas!!! 👎🏻 We booked a villa 30 meters from the beach with a beautiful pond in front. Big rooms and a lot of plants are the gems of this hotel. Also it was a pleasure to meet our neighbors, who live permanently at this place. Still i have to admit, my good impression was spoiled right from the beginning by the owner/manager who was sitting at the reception. He was highly arrogant, ignoring my husband who was trying to talk to him three times explaining "you are so tall i got destracted" and stuff like this. After all the politness of malaysians it turns you off! So it goes on like this. For breakfast you get exactly 2 toast and 1 egg, thats the ration. The only thing you can refill is (filter) coffee. You can see it on the picture. Cats at the hotel starving the way they eat even sweet cereals. Bathroom tap in the villa is broken, showermount is broken, everything needs reparation. I should mention that we paid 70 usd per night, which is enough for Malaysia to get a nice clean room (and a rich breakkie!) even in KL. Guys, if you do not want to loose your money and stuff and want to be treated polite and with respect i highly recommend you to AVOID this place.
