Tanjung Beach
Best place to be with friends/family, close to the beach, very cozy room with air conditioning. Very close to the beach, also a very chill beach bar. Breakfast with a great view and good food. Nice service with nice staffs.

Pretty but needs work
Nice concept of kampung-style chalets surrounding a lake - wildlife around including monitor lizards, terrapins, birds. We stayed in a family room that has all the basic facilities but is a little run-down and old. Detailed fixtures need work and somebody DEFINITELY needs to clean the place from top to bottom (we were sneezing the whole night and the following day). It seems like upgrading work is being done but it may take several years to see the full improvement.

Terrible
Screwed up our booking and then expected us to pay for their mistake. No other options available in the area and we had to drive back to kl. Spoilt long weekend Holiday. Had a look around while there. Unclean, unstable flooring near water (health and safety issues) Would never consider this place again.

Kampung styled chalets by the beach
We chose this resort because of the affordable price and accessibility for my wheelchaired grand-mom. As soon as we arrived to the resort we were greeted by friendly and accomodating staffs. We were amazed with the exotic landscape of the resort and the cosy ambience. We felt as if we were actually in our own kampung. Even a local restaurant delivered our dinner to the resort as it rained heavily on our first night. In short, the resort has fulfilled our needs for a short and convenient family holiday. They've also provided a special beach wheelchair for my grand mom. Definitely recommed this resort to everyone!

Good beach. Service not so good.
This place has a variety of old style Malay huts and newer units in lush green grounds with a small lake in the middle. The beach is 50m away and has a shallow incline and several pools, ideal for kids (although not much shade so bring your sunscreen). Those are the best points. On the downside the service is a bit lacking. The room wasn't cleaned at all during our three night stay and we couldn't use the aircon at night because it was loud and made the bed vibrate (luckily we didn't really need it as the rain kept the temperature down). The extra bed wasn't in our room on arrival so we had to carry it ourselves to the room (the receptionist wouldn't bring it). Breakfast is quite limited - toast with either fried or scrambled eggs. Unfortunately my 6yr old will only eat boiled eggs but disappointingly the staff and manager refused to make this as they 'didn't have time'. I tried to explain that all they needed to do was leave an egg in boiling water for 10 minutes but to no avail. In the end I got some hot water from the coffee machine and did it myself! In summary we like the concept and location but, as is all too common in malaysia these days, the poor service lets it down
