Awesome la...i late check out time but they treat gently..
Very comfortable, perfect for those who want peace. Many eateries are cheap. Ideal for family vacation.
Place best, facing the sea, the view is very beautiful, I brought the mother in the wheelchair, the hotel was very helpful by giving us parking the car near our room, perfect for those who love peace, far from the gravy and chenang, in 30 minutes, overall very good!
The location is very attractive and quiet.

Perfect quiet beach spot
I stayed here for 2 weeks, and it was exactly what I wanted. It is in an isolated part of the island, in the north, about 20-30 min drive away from all the crowds and malls of the south of the island. The beach on this side of the island is beautiful and almost empty. There are some water sports down at the main area of Tanjung Rhu beach, but it’s not too loud or bothersome. There is a very long stretch of beach there that you can walk along, although you’re not allowed to sit on a big stretch of it because the Four Seasons Resort has (illegally) claimed public beach as private land. But you can still walk along several km of beach. There is some garbage on the beach though, and more so in front of the motel, which was a downside. The water was somewhat muddy from the mangroves, but not dirty. And it would change color depending on the weather and time of day, sometimes looking clear blue-green, and other times a little grayer, but still gorgeous. This motel is right on the beach and there are fabulous sunsets each night. There are hammocks and chaise lounges on the grounds overlooking the ocean, too, which were lovely. It’s about a 15-20 min walk into a bit closer to the village, or up the beach, to find any restaurants. There’s a place with great fish and chips right on the beach. I saw some people try to walk along the beach at low tide, which would be a shortcut, but they had to turn around and I never tried because the river feeds into the ocean right by the property so you’d have to wade through waist high water. However there’s a shared kitchen you can use, not the cleanest as it’s outdoor and you’re in a tropical place, but it works. There are a few smaller grocery stores and roadside shops you can buy basics and some fresh veggies, but the bigger fully stocked grocery stores are on the south side of the island in the duty free shopping mall area. A GrabCar costs around $5USD so it’s easy to get there. It would be ideal to have a car or motorbike, but i didn’t have either, and walking was okay for me as I like walking and don’t mind walking along the road. Wifi was spotty. Sometimes it was sufficient, sometimes not at all, which was frustrating as I was there for two weeks resting and writing and wanted reliable internet. But it was fine overall. This would be a great place to stay with kids. I saw many families there. Mostly Malay and some westerners too, like me. But mostly you’ll see Malay folks on holiday or living here on this side of the island. There is free hot and cold drinking water, as much as you like, available 24/7. Room was big and very comfortable. Big comfy bed with AC and fan. Hot water heater in the room, plus (instant) coffee and tea with creamer and sugar packets available. The staff was all super kind and sweet, as well. I would definitely recommend this place to folks wanting a quiet beachside stay on Langkawi!

Cheap and Calming Chalet
We stayed in the beach chalet for 5 nights. From our arrival to departure the staff went above and beyond to satisfy our every need. From helping us to rent a car to a smile every day the customer service never faltered! An important item was left behind and the staff have made every effort to return this item to us. Can't recommend highly enough if you are looking for a quiet few nights right on a beautiful beach.

Unbeatable location and wonderful staff!
We planned to stay here for only a few nights out of our 7 month trip, but those few nights quickly turned into 3 weeks. This motel truly turned into a second home for us. The location was amazing! Located right on the water and just a short walk away from Tanjung Rhu Beach (3rd photo) and the Black Sand Beach (2nd photo) - you can't beat it! Not to mention, the staff was incredibly friendly and so laid back. A few nights they had a big family barbecue and invited us to join. We've been traveling for 3 months now and some of our best memories are at Tanjung Puteri. We spent half the time camping (campers can pitch their tents outside of the motel for 10 ringgit a night) and half the time in the motel. Both were absolutely fantastic! The facilities are great. There is a lounge/seating area overlooking the ocean (1st photo) and a straw roofed hut where they've hung hammocks for guests to lounge on while soaking in the sea breeze (we made great use of it!). There is also a bathroom and showers for the campers around the back of the building as well as a tiki-bar style outdoor kitchen for the campers and hotel guests to use. We spent a lot of time in that kitchen - cooking, sharing food, chatting and making lifelong friends. There is such a sense of community in this place - we didn't ever want to leave! If you're ever in Langkawi, be sure to book here! You can't beat it.

Camping too
I arrived there after doing some wild camping on langkawi and for 10 rm a night it was great. The camping was under lofty, well spaced coconut trees over looking the sea. There were free showers and a place to cook and fridges to store food and beer! There were others camping with a few people on cycling tours. There were a few barbecues there too with fresh barracuda etc. This supplied by a local couple. Around the corner ( about 600 yards ) is a 3 mile long stretch of beach. Beautiful. Quiet and idyllic. The local village has local restaurants and there is a supermarket. Though small. Loved the place. You can hire motorbikes here too for about 40 rm a day. Spent 2 weeks here before going back to Penang. I would go again. If your lucky you might see the quite shy 10 foot monitor lizard. He's a bit scared of people though!

A family having a go,
This is a very pleasant, quiet place overlooking a great ocean view. The family who are the proprietors have invested everything but the artificial groyne at the northern end of the peninsula is causing erosion at this end of the beach. All of the sand which has been eroded from here is now at the northern end of the beach where a multinational resort conglomerate have artificially changed the cycle of longshore drift. Their beach is growing in width whilst the southern end is seeing severe gouging, narrowing and steepening of the beaches. The law of supply and demand means these southern resorts have to drop their prices since their beaches are now inferior. The groyne should be removed forthwith. This represents a serious lack of corporate social responsibility on the part of the multinational, Four Seasons.
